Bling Part 3 and a bit
Well 3 months post endobronchial valve procedure it was time to brave the M60 in the baby smart car and head off to Wythenshawe, the M60 is our northern equivalent of the M25 only less posh being oop north we only have 3 lanes and it floods a lot in places,so much for the much proclaimed Northern power

Lung Transplant list ...
Hi all, A while ago I posted that my mother is going through assessment to be on the transplant list ... now after what felt like an age we went to sign the papers ... I am happy but also very apprehensive about the worst case possibilities... They still need a week or so to do more internal checks but

Treatment withdrawn, do we have any more options?
Hi all I’m writing this out of desperation and am probably clutching at straws. I would like some advice on whether there is any more I should / could be doing to help my Dad or just accept that there is nothing more that can be done. He was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer in May 2018. It had

Post thyroidectomy
Hello, I had my completition thyroidectomy on Monday, but unfortunately had a hematoma after surgery so was taken back into theatre on Monday evening, bleeding stopped and an extra couple of clips placed on the arteries. In comparison to my lobectomy I’m exhausted, and as pictures show extremely bruised

Help with Blue Horizon Thyroid Test Results
I wonder if someone would be able to tell me what my test results mean. In October I had a total thyroid lobectomy to remove a 6cm lump, which was benign. Since having the operation my TSH was 5.46 (range 0.27 to 4.2). I was started on 50mg of levo. Last week, I had a blood test at my consultants

Lung transplant
This week my lung specialist asked me if I would want to have a lung transplant. So I am going to go to Toronto and meet with the transplant team and see what a lung transplant is all about. So my question for everyone is, if you had a chance to get a lung transplant would you get one done, and why ?

Tarceva scalp
I am a near 10 year lung cancer survivor. The last 4 1/2 with stage 4 NSCLC, currently in remission. Have taken Tarceva since Sept of 2014 and had never connected the scabbing on the top of my head as being Tarceva side effect. The responses here are quite interesting. I’ve always thought it was from

Lung Transplant assessment / LVRS
If you have LVRS can it make or cause problems if you have a Lung Transplant later ? I’m about to see my surgeon later this month ( I think about LVRS ) but have just received a letter today from my consultant saying I may be better off having a Lung Transplant assessment so feeling a little confused
