Bacteria Eating Levodopa- Are you using a PPI?
Myself, I have very limited benefits from
levodopa
and important side effects (dystonia and generalized relentlessness) which disappear when I am off
Levodopa
. A while back, my limited benefits dropped suddently, especially exercise capacity.

Do other dopamine boosters also cause augmentation?
I’m experiencing really bad RLS augmentation from supplementing with L-Dopa for three months, but wondering if I switch to other dopamine boosters such as Chlonine, Uridine, L-theanine, will the effect be the same? For context, this is what they specifically do: https://www.mindlabpro.com/blogs/nootropics

Approximating the pharmacokinetics of Rytary using four doses of IR C/L
To approximate the pharmacokinetics of a 390 mg dose of Rytary: Dose 1: 100 mg IR C/L, 0 hours Dose 2: 60 mg IR C/L, 1.5 hours Dose 3: 60 mg IR C/L, 3 hours Dose 4: 60 mg IR C/L, 4.5 hours IR C/L means immediate release cabidopa/
levodopa
(e.g. Sinemet).

Optimizing levodopa
You should try a more natural source of
levodopa
: mucuna pruriens is a seed that comes as powder or in capsules. I take 6 g 3 times a day, mixed in with apple or orange juice (no dairy product s). At first it helps to take -1 capsule of green tea extract in the AM.

It does say you may need to reduce your
levodopa
so he started using Mucuna along with Sinemet 25/250 and at first we were seeing good results. We are abroad at the moment and so more active than usual. The past few days have been a nightmare for me.

Are you supposed to take your B-1 supplement at the exact time you take your carbidopa/levodopa
I have been taking B1 and carbidopa/
Levodopa
at the exact same time, twice a day, before breakfast and then before lunch. Would I get better results if I didn't take them at the same time?

Rytary and Bydureon updates
It is a slow acting form of Carbidopa and
Levodopa
that is a controlled release capsule. I said “slow acting” because it takes a while to work it’s way through the system in the morning. However, once it does, the results are amazing.

Low dose aspirin?
Not sure if anyone had seen this study, but wanted to post it just in case - "Aspirin: Barking up the right tree?" which presents a study on mice which may not translate to the same results in humans, however conclusion was very intriguing: "Recently researchers have found that low doses of the pain

Love em moments
They are increasing
Levodopa
for stiffness and after a few weeks they’ll increase Rivastigmine for cognitive issues. I’m posting this because a beautiful thing happened. Well, it was actually horrible for me.

Thumbs up for Nilotinib - Phase II Trials
Prior to randomization all participants were stabilized on either
Levodopa
and/or dopamine agonists and were tested ON time. As expected, all 3 groups were stable at 6 months, indicating the effects of PD medications.

I finished my documentary...
If you ever watched the movie 'Awakenings', featuring Robin Williams and Robert DeNiro, you know its victims slept for 4 decades before being temporarily 'awakened' by the new Parkinson's disease drug
levodopa
.

summary of a visit to my neurologist
Do you think we should increase the Carbidopa/
Levodopa
? No because you will run into trouble down the line. The Requip should help though. Any thoughts on any of the following supplements?
