Frustrated, stressed and finally starting Ruxolinitib sometime soon.
I have low platelets, lymphocytes and on
immunosuppressants
for my Sarcoidosis. Is there a way that I can persuade either hospital to take me. Cambridge is only 23 miles from me so would be easier. Any advice would be great.

CAR T-cell therapy drives long-term remission in 8 SLE patients
Treatment often entails the use of
immunosuppressants
that keep the immune system in check, but not everyone responds to these medications. In 2022, Schett’s team treated five people with SLE with a CAR T-cell therapy after other medications had failed to ease their lupus symptoms.

Pneumocystis pneumonia - PCP
I am just making people aware of the above. This is fungi that in a healthy person would resolve in days. However, in immunosuppressed it can be fatal. I have never heard of this before. Because of taking immune surpression, this fungi has knocked me off my feet. I have been admitted to hospital, now

How do you handle high appetite?
Hi everyone! Hope you all are doing great. So I'm over 6 month post transplant, and as a part of my 3-component immunosuppression therapy I'm taking methylprednisolone (Medrol by Pfizer), 6mg. And my appetite is so unusually high! I'm almost always hungry. It takes me a lot of willpower and discipline

Immunosuppressed- whooping cough
I just wondered if there’s anyone else going through this at the moment? I’ve never had this before and imagine being immunosuppressed due to lupus is a factor as my husband and 88 year old mother who has been staying here have not caught it. I have had this for over a month and am still waking up

Seen rheumatologist yesterday, he doesn’t believe it’s GCA but had bloods taken and arranged an urgent MRI brain just for reassurance due to previous bleed in 2016. He wants me to stay on 15mg prednisone for another 2 weeks then do staggering one day 15 next day 10 for 2 weeks then down to 10 again.
