Damn the Torpedoes Part 2. Impact of exercise on a low calorie, LCHF diet.
Generally speaking, the average woman needs 2000 calories; men 2300. For the sake of simplicity, we’ll just use 2300, which will include basal metabolic requirements (just living breathing, repairing, digesting etc) and basic everyday mundane activity, but excludes exercise. We need 2300, but are

OPERATION NEXT WEEK
Hi everyone, I joined this forum in early January. i Have Polymyalgia Rheumatica and am on steroids for that. Compared to some on steroids I did quite well in only gaining a stone in three years, while ‘playing’ with low carb, but did not realise the significance of combining low carb with high fat

New to LCHF after years of being on WW diet
Hi Just a brief background on me, I was overweight as a teenager and I lost 2&1/2 stone with weight watchers, and maintained my weight. I was bullied for being overweight at school and a family member, so unfortunately, this memory is always at the back of my mind. Fast forward many years later I

Newbie here with questions
I have just been diagnosed with NASH and need to lose 130 pounds. I had lost 50 pounds on low carb and gained it all back feeling sorry for myself and other bad situations in my life. So hi all. My questions are about low-carb diet. It is the only way I have had success losing weight. Is that okay

weight gain, ADT and diet
I had some thoughts after reading George71's recent post "Apparently diet and exercise matter with PCa after all, especially for those on ADT since ADT causes weight gain (and it isn't muscle)." In my case, following Lupron for 2 years and then Taxotere chemo, I had lost about 20 lbs. After starting

Diet tips
Hi, I’m after some basic advice (getting an appointment with my GP is like waiting for summer). I’ve just found out that my cholesterol is 12.4, was told it should be 8.4. I’m a 65 year old female, I eat a healthy, low fat diet & weigh 9 stones. I’ve been been informed that it must be hereditary &

Is Running on lchf ok... only 2 weeks in?
What I mean is having only just started my lchf journey, and have been feeling a bit done in , though much better now. What’s the thinking around exercise, is there a link to something I can read?

Alternative treatment for lip herpes.
Hi everyone. I want to ask if anybody knows some cure for lip herpes or maybe angular cheilitis, will know tomorrow after consultation with dermo doc, besides creams with cortizon because those act as an afib trigger for me, CDreamer saved me the other time with the cream she proposed for another issue

Is it possible to lower you A1C from 48 to 41 in 3 months?
A friend of mine was diagnosed with elevated (48) A1c back in November 2018. He was asked to repeat the test in 3 months’ time. He got his 2nd results back a few days ago and his A1c is now 41. Obviously, he is pleased with his efforts, I am just flabbergasted to see this amazing drop, did not think
