Why does lactase enzyme give me diarrhea?
So thinking that lactose free milk will make me feel even better(according to
FODMAP
diet), I got some lactose free milk to drink. Well went to bed a little gassy and then woke up in the morning with cramps and diarrhea right away. Next day same thing.

Feeling frustrated
I’ve been passed back and forth from gynaecology to gastro team, been admitted to SAU several times, had numerous scans, blood tests and examinations and am feeling extremely frustrated 😭 I’m now back on the Sanaya press and following a low
FODMAP
diet which has improved my symptoms ever so slightly

Excessive Burping
I do have SIBO and may have low stomach acid, which I think can cause this as food ferments but weirdly eating a Low
Fodmap
diet has not helped and even a glass of water or peppermint / ginger tea can set me off.

Reversing IBS
For the first few months I was very strict on my
FODMAP
diet and it worked brilliantly, my physical and mental ailments were almost completely gone.

College student with IBSC. Please help
I am also now on low
fodmap
diet. Should I be considered that I haven’t had a bowel movement even from taking this high intensity laxative? As well, has anyone had relief with Linzess? I start taking it tomorrow morning.

Would you ask to be referred to gastro/get a second opinion?
I have tried all of things recommended ie
FODMAP
, pro biotics, mindfulness etc. I have also had omeprazole, lansoprazole, ranitidine, buscopan, mint capsules etc. I don't drink, smoke or have dairy or caffeine. I am slim and exercise regularly.

Please Help, College student with IBS
Do you guys recommend the low
FODMAP
diet? When I went on vacation with my family over winter break, all of my symptoms disappeared and I was completely fine. As soon as I came home and went back to school they all came back. Is this stress related?

So fedup
I’ve done
fodmap
etc and been to see specialists. So it’s nothing I particularly eat and nothing nasty. But I’m just drained. The longer this goes on the more depressed I feel. I’m hardly eating or sleeping and have no energy whatsoever. I’m starting to wonder if it will ever end.

Just started FODMAP diet - not easy - new to forum
I would like some advice. My husband can eat normally but I am a week into Fodmapping, somewhat handicapped by other health issues, and as some older posts have said, I am finding it hard and - of course - restrictive. Although I love to cook, I am (literally) handicapped by arthritis. Nevertheless

My Years with IBS
The
FODMAP
diet is an option, I sort of half follow it, in that I have a rough idea, but I don’t check everything, that’s too much for me, but it is worth looking at. One thing I have discovered over the years is that many people suffer with IBS, but don’t like to talk about it, a bit like piles!

Late Night/Early morning IBS Thoughts
We did discuss the
fodmap
and I said a nutritionist and advised not to do it without proper help from a nutritionist as it can cause further anxiety (which it has in the past) It was good to know more. If anyone an add to this, please let me know your thoughts.

Allergy v intolerance.
FODMAP
intolerance. A growing number of people with conditions like SIBO and IBS (which affect 10 to 15 percent of the population worldwide—hundreds of millions of people) are intolerant of certain carbohydrates, called FODMAPs, found in common foods like onions, garlic, and high-fructose fruits.
