Anyone out there struggling with tenesmus? Been experiencing urgency for 3 months virtually nonstop. Only a couple of days relief here and there. Also it gets worse whenever I walk or stand, if I sit all day I am usually fine. Also seems to get worse after a shower or after bm. Tried everything from

Horizant versus pregabalin / gabapentin dosage effectiveness
Howdy folks! ....I've recently switched from pregabalin 200mg to Horizant - which I'm taking 300-600mg. Prior to that, I've used as much as 1800mg gabapentin. I'm getting some decent benefits from the relatively low dose of Horizant and was wondering if there are any others who have experienced

Can you ovulate naturally after you have taken a trigger shot (before the 36 hours)?!
Hello all Just wondering if anyone can advise to help ease my fears... as ever, there always seems to be a stress before egg collections or transfers, doesn't help doing it abroad! I am due to go for a natural FET in Cyprus in the coming few days (my last with own eggs :/ ), I am tracking ovulation

Horizant
Hi everyone and Sue Johnson. I'm wondering if Horizant is the same as Pregabalin? I guess it is a stronger version of gabapentin. I have tried it and it seems to work pretty good for me.

Drain cover stops play....
Well, I've joined all you lovely runners sitting on the injury couch. A raised drain cover with a bit of pavement missing around the corner of it, and over I went....sprained shoulder, grazed and bruised elbows and knees, and a nastily turned ankle. My foot has blown up like a balloon and is all colours

Advice please re steroid dose following fall, facial lacerations, broken nose etcā¦
Hi all, yesterday I stupidly trotted across a road, my leg gave way and I ended up sliding across on my face, hitting my cheek/nose on the kerb. Been to A&E, all sorted apart from sore shoulder which is a little better today. The pain feels very specific in that I feel it only in certain positions or

Droxia vs Hydrea
I've been treated with Hydroxyurea (hydrea) 500mg for PV since December 2021. Due to stomach issues in March 2023 the HU was decreased to every other day. I did fine on this dosage. My #s stayed pretty much normal & eventually my hemoglobin and hematocrit were actually on the low side of normal so

Looking for advice
I had a TBI a few weeks ago, after a work related car accident. It resulted in a craniotomy and I was in an induced coma for a couple of days. I'm slowly beginning to feel better but I just don't feel like myself. I'm tired all the time and I get angry over nothing. Any support or advice would be

Mental barriers crossed
Week 7 done without injury this time - last time I was out of action for weeks due to injury following the first run of week 7 (take home from that experience was 'see the physio sooner rather than later'). I had planned to do the third run this week on the almost flat running track in the local park

Bedranol
I have been prescribed Bedranol ( propranolol hydrochloride) for my anxiety. Just to use as and when I feel anxious . Has anyone else used this beta blocker ? I suffer from IBS - D and Iām worried it might cause diarrhoea. This would defeat the object of taking it completely!

Rapid Decline in Balance
Hello All, My Dad was diagnosed with PD about 2 years ago. Initially he did not have a definitive dx because they said he did not have the traditional PD gait. Now he has tremors in his hands and one leg, slower responses, flat affect and his balance is quickly declining and becoming the biggest concern

Pregabalin and Linaclotide
There's a bit out there in the posts but it would be good to hear from anyone with experience of either of these. GP can't prescribe me linaclotide: blocked due to a record of IBD (i.e. Crohn's that I have/had -no physical signs, long story). So I get the P and a followup visit to see if that works and
