Expediting phase 3 trials: using rPFS and cPFS as surrogates
"We investigated whether radiographic progression-free survival (rPFS) and clinical PFS (cPFS) are valid surrogates for OS in men with mHSPC and could potentially be used to expedite future phase III
clinical
trials
."...and it seems that they can be used as surrogate!

need some guidance, feeling desperate..
We are looking into a couple of
clinical
trials
, one in particular that has our attention is Actinium. His oncologist mentioned a stronger chemotherapy if his PSA continued to go up.

Cancer takes another brave man
He was so strong tried so hard, 2
clinical
trials
radiation, Zytiga, Xofigo, lupron for the entire time. Finally at age 65 his body could take no more, he lost over 40 pounds, no energy, last scan showed mass on pancreas, more than likely prostate cancer.

recommendations for The Christie ?
I just want to wish everyone well and say ‘ keep positive’ and hopefully one day , the many
clinical
trials
will result in , if not a cure, something to keep the tumours in check .and to allow us to live a longer life . sending love to all..x x

A Professional Journal
Here's a professional journal of urology that publishes 1) interviews with doctors and researchers; 2) presentations at conferences (many of them international); and 3) detailed results of research,
clinical
trials
, and such.

Statins in older patients and their benefits
There is, not surprisingly, a lot of discussion here about us taking statins and one of the points often made is that there has been little evidence of benefit for over 75s - mainly because they are more often than not excluded from
clinical
trials
.

It seems to have similar results to CBT in some
clinical
trials
and I was curious. It first appeared as a facebook ad earlier, so as it mentioned Psychology Today, I read their article and also found an Article on the Positive Psychology website.
