general anaesthetic with CHD
I need to have surgery for
breast
cancer
and I’m worried about whether a GA carries more risks for me. I don’t think I’ll see the anaesthetist until shortly before the op so just wanted to ask if others had any experience.

Getting to the root of my anxiety
Unfortunately I cannot take any Hormone Replacement Therapy because I had one positive result for a gene that increases my risk for
breast
cancer
(My paternal Aunt had
breast
cancer
and my sister and I got tested). I have not had any major changes in my life recently.

Any truth to Estrogen being out of the question for hypothyroidism?
This week it is lots of terrifying statistics on how suspectable we are to
breast
cancer
and other cancers. I didn't know we had an increased risk of
breast
cancer
. They then go on to say we are almost always estrogen dominant and that we should never take estrogens.

Looking for someone to talk to and relate to how I'm feeling.
I've lost a few people I was close with one being my aunt from
breast
cancer
. I also am trying to process alot of childhood trauma. Some stuff I'm still uncovering. Have been no contact with my parents as of 3 months ago. Have lost a connection with someone who was basically my little sister.

Intermittent stabbing breast pains
The pain is bearable and something I could live with however I do worry about
breast
cancer
and that I might be at more risk because of this pain. I have been on the patches for about a year now. Any thoughts on this? I don’t want to bother GP plus I couldn’t get an appointment if I wanted!

DCIS Diagnosis in 2023
Hi everyone, I had a routine mammogram in March 2023 and I was so confident that it was going to be fine, that I forgot about it by the end of the same day. I was shocked to get a phone call 10 later to tell me that they had found a mass in my left breast. I remember telling female friends about it

Travel Insurance questions on Acalabrutinib
This is further complicated by the fact that I am also on Trastuzumab (another monoclonal antibody for
breast
cancer
). How do I get round this? What do I say? While on the subject- does anyone know whether saying you are on Statins (high cholesterol) helps with getting travel insurance or not.
