Steroids and Intralipid Transfusion during COVID
Hi everyone, We were due to restart our 5th fresh cycle of ICSI last week but had it cancelled for a second time due to the COVID lockdown. We got the call from our clinic to say that we couldn’t go ahead with the planned steroid or intralipid treatment for NK cells so they suggested we delay our treatment

Aldara and AIH
I got the diagnosis of AIH in feb 2017 and 3 year later a relapse. Both events were preceded by Aldara-treatment according to actinic keratosis. My hepatolog think that the doses of Aldara is too small. I did a Google and found one case of relapse in Autoimmine disease when a person got Aldara. I have

Shielding and my mental health
Nicola Sturgeon is doing a great job. She appears every day, she leads the people, she has genuine empathy. I really want to follow the shielding guidelines, but I can't any longer. I live alone. My life, since retirement, has always been filled with meetings and activities with friends and family,

Watery bathroom trips
Hi all x I have IBS-D which I manage through a gluten free diet and try to avoid certain fodmaps - this has got rid of the cramping etc. However if I don’t take an Imodium weekly, I’ll have watery frequent bowel movements - Even after taking my Imodium I am still able to have a BM each day so that’s

The cause of Fibromyalgia
I lost both my parents in December 1996 within a few days of each other and a few weeks later my friend and business partner was diagnosed with cancer this was terminal and had to finish work, he died a few month later. This left me with a debt of £175,000 as I was the guarantor. In June 1997 the landlord

Pain above pelvic bone? 15 weeks pregnant
Hello ladies I'm almost 15 weeks pregnant and in the last few hours I've noticed like a sharp stabbing at times throbbing pain that comes and goes just above my pubic bone. I've never felt this before so its freaking me out a bit. I've read that ligament pain could be starting about now but everywhere

Headaches
Past couple of nights this week I’ve had severe agonising headaches before bed and I am sleep deprived as been crying myself to sleep with the amount of pain I’ve been in. The pain is also in the jaw and around the eye area which is very sensitive. Taking medication which doctor prescribed me to take

Any ideas/help
My 2 year old constantly struggles to poop. He drinks so much water and lately orange juice, he has a balanced diet, eats fruit and veg every single day. He's always been like this. I've had him backwards and forwards to the doctors who keep prescribing movicol which doesn't really make much difference

The last big weekend 😕
When the lockdown kicked in I decided I’d finally give the couch to 5k a go, after having the app for a couple of years 😳 I’ve absolutely loved it, the endorphins are indescribable and have really made such an impact on my wellbeing. I only wish I’d done it sooner. I’m finishing this week on my final

First run after injury
Well I’m finally back after three weeks out due to an injured knee! I had completed run 1 of week 9 so only had two runs to do so it was a but of a blow, especially having to watch others graduate who had started at the same time as me. But it could’ve been worse... I wasn’t sure where to start but decided

Nefopam?
I had a video consultation with my pain management doctor and one of the recommendations he made was to prescribe nefopam. He said this would be an as needed medication and I could take it up to 3 times per day in addition to my other pain meds (baclofen 10mg 3 times per day, paracetamol / dihydrocodeine
