Pelvic pain back 3 months after Hysterectomy
I have had significant pelvic pain with bowel and bladder issues for 2.5 years. It was hard to get a diagnosis. I was told at first it was a bowel issue, then Endometriosis/Adenomyosis and was eventually diagnosed with 4 fibroids, 1 being 7cm. A year ago, I was put on Prostap and add back hrt. The Prostap

Long post sorry
I was officially diagnosed with endo 4 years ago after having my appendix removed and the surgeon seeing the issues at the same time. I have been fighting with doctors for over 20 years to believe that there was something wrong. I have had 6 months of hormone injections that were amazing and sorted

Provera advice
Hi all, I had a lot of really supportive posts after my last one so I’m diving in again. My consultant has recommended I go on Provera (10mg twice a day) until I have a hysterectomy at some point in the next year. I’d be on it permanently, so no breaks. I stupidly googled (because apparently I’m a

Confused! Adhesiolysis or Hysterectomy or Mirena!
I attended a follow up appointment this morning which was booked straight after my lap in March. It was with the original team (let's call them Team A), as since then I was put under a different team for Laparoscopic Adhesiolysis after finding severe, dense, widespread adhesions. Team B refused to scan

Both ovaries out or not?
Hi, its me again! So ive read my notes from my MDT meeting and noticed they want to take both my ovaries out when they do my hysterectomy and endo excision. One has a big endometrioma on it and as of last year the scan showed the other was healthy. My question is do I agree to them both coming out and

adenomyosis
Hey Just looking for some advice I had an MRI and it showed focal uterine adenomyosis. I haven’t had an appointment with my gynaecologist yet ( it’s in a few weeks) so haven’t discussed any options. But I’m getting severe back pain wondering if this is related to adenomyosis. I’m also don’t want a hysterectomy

what to try next?
Hi everyone :) I don't think I've posted before, probably because as awful as endo is, I've been lucky in a lot of ways. . I was diagnosed via laparoscopy in 2015, and I live in a city with an accredited endo centre, so my surgeon knew what he was doing. He found and excised a few spots in various places

Borderline Ovarian Tumour and Endo diagnosis.
Hi all, I’ve recently had some news that I will need to have a full hysterectomy due to a biopsy result from an ovarian cyst I had removed 6 weeks ago. There is the option to keep one ovary for now. I was very lucky to have been seen by a gynaecologist and surgeon at my first referral appointment

Hi, I was diagnosed with endometriosis in my 20's and I am now 54. I have had several laparoscopies, a laparotomy, had one tube removed. I also have PCOS. I have been on various drugs and for what seemed ages, progesterone tablets. My GP said that I had been on them for ages and that I should come

Prostap injection
Hi everyone. I had my first prostap injection 3 weeks ago as told I would have no bleeding. Yesterday I started spotting with some stomach ache. Not terrible but frustrating as the purpose of this injection was to stop my bleeding. How long does bleeding last as due full hysterectomy possibly September

Fibroids and Norethisterone, bleeding and spotting
Hi all, I know you've each got enough to deal with, but I've been having a difficult few months and am after some advice. In February I was diagnosed with multiple fibroids. One of them is very large. I've had several ultrasounds and a hysteroscopy booked in for this week. My periods were very heavy

post hysterectomy endo
I’m 44. Have had full hysterectomy with bilateral ovary removal. Have endometriosis and adenymosis. Still having endo pain symptoms. Have been told it’s not a gynae issue. Pelvic nerve pain is severe. There is no endo specialist in Northern Ireland. I’ve had several surgeries including 2organs removed

Dealing with endo after children in late thirties
hi there I’m 37 and had two children via IVF when I was 33 and 35. I have stage 4 recto vaginal endometriosis and had a bowel resection and temporary stoma when I was 31 before starting IVF. Now I’m finished having children, I’ve gone back on the pill and run it back to back to prevent periods. I’m
