C25K Week 5 Run 3!!!

Well I did it!!!!! I was dreading that 20 minute run but I did it! Not the fastest run in the world but I paced myself and did it! I feel so happy right now.....This is my second time at C25K and the furthest I’ve got! I started it last year but was ill and it just fell by the wayside! So if anyone is thinking they can’t, If I can do it, anyone can!

Someone told me that chewing gum was a good thing to do and also listening to a podcast rather than music!!! I’ve done both today and whilst the pod cast was a bit boring (different one next time!!) chewing gum I find helps with my breathing a lot!

Sorry if this sounds a bit of a show off post but I’m just so happy 😀😀 xxx

Well done you!! Pacing yourself from the start is the absolute best way to achieve it... and you smashed it 💪🏼 You have every right to be proud. Keep up the good work 👍🏼

Thank you! And you’re right, I’ve tried running before and every time I’ve done it, I’ve always gone off too fast, thinking that’s the best. I have Michael Johnson in my ear and he’s constantly saying “don’t go too fast” and it’s sinking in! It’s never been about the speed for me this time, it’s been about actually running! And to be honest I’m really enjoying it! x

Well done, the longer the running got the slower we went until we realised our slow was faster than we used to be able to run

And as my sister just said, faster then the person still sat on the couch! Well done!

Much faster than that person, we had flu and are even slower now but still getting out there

It’s the best feeling isn’t it? Well done

Amazing! I’m literally buzzing! And for me it’s the first time I’ve ran in the daylight because I’ve always felt silly and self conscious! x

You can do it and you did it, congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃🏾 😊

Yes! I was shocked and on cloud 9 after the 20 minute run, so when I did w6d1 my legs tried to go faster, and almost didn’t make it. Lesson learned

Thank you! I must admit I was quite shocked when I saw Wk6 was to go back to small segments again. I shall remember all of your advice and try not to sprint lol! Xx
