Travel to Egypt in 5 weeks

I had a heart attack last month and am due to go on holiday in June. I'm not seeing my GP until next week to see what his advice is regarding this. I'm really conflicted and stressed about it. The thought of something happening miles away from home terrifies me, but then again, who's to say it would? My question to you is, if I am ok to go has anyone got any insurance recommendations, bearing in mind my heart attack hasn't got a reason why it happened so I am still waiting for an MRI? I expect this makes it more complicated.

Thanks

Due to your recent heart attack an upcoming investigation and a lack of diagnosis you might find it difficult to obtain travel insurance cover. The normal advice is to obtain cover as soon as you book. However in your case the best you can do I suggest is to try a comparison site for travel insurance with pre existing conditions and take it from there, or talk to a local broker.

is it safe to travel on a long distance flight?

Having just renewed my travel insurance, I think you’ll find that no company will insure any condition that is still under investigation. Good luck.
