Dearest sadgranolabar x

I am so truly sorry you experienced this verbal and emotional abuse.

No one should be put down at any age. 6th = 8th grade seems to be the

time that this starts. (my own daughter went through but I didn't know

at the time)

That age group is at a stage of wanting to feel important, popular and wanted

by others. So they handle it in an immature way by bullying others and tearing

them down.

These traumas can carry over into high school and adulthood. As you grow up,

hopefully you will find that you are worthy of respect and self esteem. This

community is all about supporting you and others with the care and emotional

need they need to overcome these critical remarks and actions. I'm happy to

Welcome you here. A place where we all care about each other. :) xx

Unfortunately, bulling seems to be the new norm with the social media. This tribal mentality of ganging up on someone and running them down is rampant. Its become some kind of macabre sporting event to join in on this trashing someone for fun. It's a serious problem with terrible consequences. I don't know why people just don't disconnect and change direction. It's a simple matter of closing your accounts that your being bullied on, reporting to any site admins the people doing it. In some countries' it's a cyber crime.

I'm sorry you had to go through that...it destroys our faith in people, makes us feel bad about ourselves, and not wanting to participate socially. Just remember...those kinds of people that bully are cowards, and so are the jerks that chime in for the fun of it. It's all fun and games until karma kicks in, and they become the target, every dog has it's day.

Never lower yourself to their level, pity the fool that thinks so little of themselves that they have to pick on someone else to make themselves feel better about who they are. Many great people in history were bullied, and rose above it to become something great in spite of it. Remember... you deserve better, so stand your ground and do what you need to do to stay safe.

Therapy is very important as well, it's traumatizing to be bullied and sometimes we really need help during and after....even long after we feel the effects of it.
