chronic constipation
Meanwhile I’m taking 3
docusate
a day and 2
senna
at night. I hardly have bowel movements. Feel constantly bloated, having severe crampy spasms in left lower back. Does anyone else suffer like this. I try drinking hot water in the morning. I find that prunes and fibre don’t really help.

Strange “needles” pain in 4 year old with severe constipation
My daughter (4.5) has Ehlers Danlos (connective tissue disorder) which affects her joints and muscles. It causes constipation, unsafe swallow and hyper mobility. We’ve done disimpaction for weeks, many times. The poo that comes out burns her so badly that her skin gets covered in pin pricks of blood

5 weeks on from rifamixin for SIBO and IBS C.
I do think things have settled somewhat, though it has only happened gradually. I realised I needed less and less of the docusate/cosmocol and hardly any now. I try to keep with the low fodmap diet but not totally. Thankfully my pains have reduced (I do wonder if some of that was linked to the laxatives

SIBO and antibiotics
l am now feeling so out of my depth. Having been screened and cleared for obvious causes I have seen an NHS Consultant who says I am positive for SIBO. I have tried to work with low fodmap diet previously but without much success. My test with lactose was “equivocal” but a following one with glucose

Ventricular Standstills
Hi I had a 24hr Holter test in December and found results on my NHS app. This showed 5 pauses from over 3 to 7.13 seconds and a second degree heart block type ll mainly 2:1 conduction. I have had twinges in my left chest and palpations for months. Put on delophine XL and twinges stopped after 3 weeks

Ventricular standstill and laxatives
Hi All I had a 24 hour holter monitor test and the results show 5 pauses of over 3 to 7.13 seconds. I have been prescribed Laxido and docusate for 5 months for chronic constipation. I am having an echocardiogram and listed for a urgent pacemaker. Has anyone experienced heart pauses when on laxatives

Any similar experiences please
Hi, everyone, I haven’t posted for quite some time now, I thought I was maybe getting a year off from being prodded, poked, wired up etc. However, following the recent request to provide a sample for the bowl screening service, I now need colonoscopy for further investigations. Questions for you, please

Bisacodyl
Taken Senna, Fybogel and Laxido and haven’t had any bowel movements. I’ve seen people say to take Bisacodyl as this is quite strong. What are people’s experiences with this? Does it work? When is the best time to take it?

Laxatives that don't cause nausea?
Hello I am suffering from constipation and just wondering what laxatives are least likely to cause nausea? I'm having problems with my stomach I'm getting an endoscopy in a month I'm feeling nauseous almost all the time and having problems going to the toilet. So very sensitive to meds at the moment.

I have had very bad constipation lately because I have been taking lots of Zapain as my knee is so bad. I am drinking plenty water, taking senna and eating fruit and vegetables but it’s not helping. I can’t move much because I’ve been struggling to stand up with my knee so bad, does anyone have any

So depressed I can hardly breathe.
I had flu like symptoms 6 days ago. Diarrhea really bad all night without me knowing till I got up. I've been worried about these government forms to prove our dog has been neutered and insured. I went on the insurance site and my thumb 👍 twitched hitting the button to stop the insurance so I quickly

anismus
I have chronic constipation. I think it is casued by various muscles not relaxing as the symptoms fit what I have read online. There are vaious names for this, anismus, dysssergenic defaecation and obstruced defaecation. I looked on this site and this is one of the groups that seems appropriate to post
