Just as a precaution I have needed
colonoscopy
on two separate occasions , one clear one had polys removed. I too had profonol ( excuse the spelling ). It was painless. I met with my consultant and he explained the procedure . I was admitted after a day taking bowel prep, not nice but needed .

Hi…so had
colonoscopy
today and said all ok but have taken biopsies anyway - what would they be looking for if camera looked ok ? Can they still be concerned about cancers ?

thank you everyone for your responses earlier! I really appreciate it! I can have liquids for the 30 hours leading up to my procedure. Just no solid food. I’m really anxious about it. The prep I am taking is called Clenpiq. It’s cranberry flavored. Not sure if anyone else has had experiences with

can understand your concern but try not to worry. For me the worst thing is the bowel prep. Ensure you’re near a loo! During the procedure I was shown how to use gas and air effectively and it really worked well for me. I also had sedation- don’t be brave! I was given Buscopan at the end of the

3 failed coloscopies
Due to the growth of very large polyps one over 2cm I am being asked to have another
colonoscopy
. To say that I am terrified is an understatement. I was told by the consultant 10 years ago that I was a very unsuitable patient for
colonoscopy
due to bowel adhesions and looping.

Colonoscopy expierence
So I was done with my colonosocpy . I was given sedation so I did not remember what happened ... the prep was harder than I expected because I did not drink or eat anything that day . I only had sipped on few spoons of electrolyte drink and 2 tea spoon of honey because I ended up being too cold and

Extrapred for colonoscopy?
I would appreciate advice on whether I should add to my normal 3mg for the day of a
colonoscopy
. The endocrine advice line at my hospital seems overwhelmed. Thanks

Colonoscopy v Colonography
Has anyone else been told they have a loopy bowel and it is not advisable to have a
colonoscopy
anymore. They recommended ct colonography, but i am worried about the amount of radiation this needs. Apparently 2yrs normal exposure in one go. Anyone else had this predicament?

Mild TI inflammation
Did anyone have anything similar in their
colonoscopy
? The main reason I'm asking is that because I've had two colonoscopies before the biopsies have always come back normal but with this one the inflammation in the has been seen, so I'm hoping it shows something.
