2SAN Test
Well, I’ve seen everything now. My local pharmacy has a display of self testing kits for a number of conditions. One of which is a finger prick test for Hypothyroidism, self testing TSH at £9.99!

Can of worms
I have always been grateful for all the help I have received from HealthUnlocked since I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's some eight years ago. For the last few years, I have done very well on 100 mcgs of Levothyroxine and 8 mcgs T3 per day. I find a Keto, completely gluten free and almost entirely organic

has anyone tried Thybon Henning T3?
Hi all, I am seeing an endo (in sussex) privately and following my last thryoid results he suggested I would benefit from having 100mgs Levo and 20mgs T3 tablet a day (taking 100m levo with 10mgs together in morning) and then the other 10mgs later in afternoon. As I have never taken T3 before, and

Too much T4?
About a year and half ago things were good after finally getting a T3 T4 combo from GP after submitting the results of my D102 TT polymorphism test. Recently in September I had started to feel unwell again (including a diagnosis of osteoarthritis, after some confusion) my TSH for what it was worth was

I'm seeing a neurologist for balance problems and occasional slurring of words. I was diagnosed with Pernicious Anaemia (currently on B12 injections) in July this year and have had vitiligo for over 20 years. One of the blood test done was for TPO antibodies with were 78 which apparently had been

Add a bit of liothyronine or just increase levothyroxine?
My results on only 100 levothyroxine is tsh 0.25(0.42-4.2) ft3 4.2 (3.6-6.5) ft4 16 (12-22) I have access to liothyronine so would be able to start low dose on that to add to my levothyroxine. Would you recommend starting liothyronine or just increasing levothyroxine?

Pituitary gland not producing TSH
Oct 14, 2022 I had a 3rd Covid Booster shot. The next day I had the "normal" flu symptoms. Oct 20, six days later, I felt I had been hit by a bus, hurting literally from head to toe with different kinds of pain along with heartburn and leg swelling. I figured this was just a reaction that would subside

Understanding the way forward
I am an 81 year old female. My Thyroid/2nd goitre was removed about 7 years ago. Prescribed Levothyroxine and seemed to recover OK for a while. About 5 years ago experienced tiredness, and a long-standing viral respiratory infection. GP referred me to consultant but usual blood tests etc rated as normal

TSH results
could anyone advise on the following I had my TSH results 6 months ago and it came back 3.7 ( was taking 50mg of Levothyrine) and had been on this dosage for years. Just had another test and it’s now come down to 1.3 still taking the same Levothyrine 50mg. the only thing that’s changed in that time

Help for my 31 year old son please. First post.
He has just had some blood test results, would appreciate any ideas because of the low Ferritin and Folate. He is a Type 1 diabetic. He became ill in the Spring, had been working very long and unsocial hours in hospitality. He has symptoms of Fibromyalgia and his GP is close to giving him the diagnosis

Subclinical hypothroidism resolving after 3 weeks?! And TTC/fertility issues
Hi all, Hoping someone can help me to make sense of this and to see if I am worrying unnecessarily. I have been TTC for 4 months with no luck, which I know isn't long. 2 years ago I was told I had subclinical hypothroidism (TSH 5.5) and other results normal. I did a private test about 3-4 weeks ago

Help with TSH results
hello, My Thyroxine medication has been lowered. I was actually asking the doctor if it could be increased due to increased fatigue, apathy and hair loss, but they said that it needs to be decreased and my symptoms would get better on the new levels. It hasn’t so far 4 weeks on. I’ve just got access
