GP won’t increase thyroid medication
hi I post my thyroid test results recently, my TSH is suppressed at 0.02 which it has been for long time but t3 and t4 only 30% through range. Tried explain to GP t3 can suppress TSH GP thinks over medicated and wouldn’t listen about me wanting to increase to 100mg from 75. Said would write to

T3 or not T3
Dear all, I've been taking T4 since having a thyroidectomy in 2017. A couple of months ago I had a consultation with a private and rather expensive GP, who convinced me to try pharmacy manipulated T3. Prior to this I was taking 175mcg of Euthyrox on Mondays to Wednesdays and 150mcg, the rest of the

Got retested/ tested for testosterone levels
I got restested and testosterone level checked. Thought I’d share for your interest. Seems like my TSH improved a little actually, so maybe the crazy strict diet helped.

Following my push to try and increase my FT3 levels (see my post of a few weeks ago) 3 weeks ago my consultant suggested I increase my Levo from 125mcg to 137.5 mcg for 2 months as he thought this might increase my T3, he had my graphs showing my FT3 was then at 15%. 2 weeks into the increase, which

cholestrol and thyroid results
I would like views on the followin results. 2023 TSH 1.369 (range 0.570 - 3.600) T4 7.00 (range 7.9-14) cholestrol 10.5 2022 TSH 0.94 (range 0.57 - 3.60) T4 10.8 (7.9 -14) cholestrol 5.4 no T3 test has been done. Particularly concerned if high cholestrol level for 2023 could be related

Endocrinologist has reduced Thyroid meds *again* due to suppressed TSH from T3. Argh!
Hi All, After a blood test a few months back I was asked to decrease my T3 dose so they could increase my T4 prescription. Despite a marked increase in hypothyroid symptoms in the months since the T3 drop and T4 raise, today a second endocrinologist has asked me to now drop the T4 a dose too as my TSH

Socratic Lab Results – any advice?
… because Socrates said in many different ways “the more I go, the less I know” and when I look at my lab results over the past years they make no sense to me. However “appropriate” in theory, or not, and whatever dose(s) I take, I’m only getting worse. I’ve been on T3/T4 combo since June 2021. I will

Doctor Listened and Agreed.
Yesterday I had a return visit appointment for something other than my thyroid. During the visit I told the doctor that the blood test taken the week before after a change in dosage was useless because only TSH and T4 had been tested, and that to make any sort of sense of it I needed T3 as well which

Subclinical hypothyroidism and leukemia?
Hi everyone, well barely a few months into addressing my fatigue as hypothyroidism (on the advice of a nutritionist, admittedly), I am being tested this week for leukemia.😔 I looked up a few other posts on the forum that suggest high leukocytes can be associated with hypothyroidism, is that correct?

pregnancy RLS
I was on medication before I was pregnant because my RL was so severe. Since being pregnant the medication wasn’t advised due to lack of research. I am approaching 32 weeks pregnant and it’s worse than ever! I can’t sleep. Iv tried iron supplements, tens machine, ice packs, magnesium cream and bath salts

Follow up bloods from 3 weeks back
As you can see I now have my bloods back and looks like I need to increase my Thyroxine as both TSH and T4 are and issue? My test was in the morning and I had not had any medication for around 30 hours. The Cortisol is also elevated. Any pointers would be good. Thanks Alex

NHS Endocrinology appointment with results of NHS T3 tests. Are latest bloods in my favour or will they work against me?
Hi All, I am hoping to have T3 prescribed on the NHS (aren’t we all?!) or at least to have an understanding Endocrinologist. I am also hoping to increase T3 (See * below) My new NHS Endocrinologist I saw last month asked for me to take my morning NHS T4 and self-prescribed T3 as usual, then 2-4hrs

advice please
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism 9 years ago whilst pregnant. I’ve been on 50mcg since then. It was only recently that I was seeing an osteopath at my gym and we started talking weight management. He said he thought I was under medicated. Anyway, thought about it and actually I have lots of symptoms
