Managing OHSS risk
I'm on my first IVF cycle and due for egg collection on Monday. We always knew I was high risk for OHSS as I have PCOS, and had an AMH of 205 initially, (which has reduced to 45 on Metformin), so were always planning to freeze the eggs from this cycle. My estrogen at day 5 of stims was around 3500 and

Good morning, Yesterday I had my egg collection and they managed to collect 20 eggs, which I really wasn't expecting as I have a low AMH so was extremely happy. This morning I received that dreaded call to say 14 out of the 20 were mature, 5 have fertilised normally and 1 is trying to fertilise. I now

Restarting ivf process, 43yrs in July, looking for any suggestions, help, tips etc. for someone my age.
I had three failed rounds of solo ivf July to November last year, but then my whole world seemed to crash down around me and I had to take a break. I knew taking a six month break at my age was not an ideal thing, but I just couldn't cope. Now I am starting my solo ivf journey again, on a very tight

Active B12 Result
Just had a Medicheck Active B12 result of 89.9 pmol range 37 -188 It stated that this was optimal. Do you agree? seemed to me although adequate maybe would not be classed as optimal?? I do not currently take B vitamins but are currently on the loading winter dose of Vitamin D as prescribed by GP

re: newbie
hello all. I am 39 year old mother to 3 children. I have found this group after looking for somewhere to purchase NDT, after having read the stop this thyroid madness book. i had a routine blood test back in july, due to complaints of fatigue/weight not budging and cold toes and hands. To my disbelief

Insomnia - Could nightime liothyronine exacerbate it?
Hi, I've just read: https://healthunlocked.com/thyroiduk/posts/148510755/liothyronine-brands-and-insomnia. As ever the answer seems to be "it depends"! Some better on or off lio, some better at bedtime or on waking, etc. My sleep pattern is (roughly) one half-decent sleep followed by an utterly awful

Journey of pain, cyst and Endometriosis

latest DEXA scan
Just had my 7 year anniversary of my PMR diagnosis. The last couple years have gone well with a couple minor flares but I've been at 1 mg and in a holding pattern for a few months until seen by Rheumy #5 in another week, another one I've never talked to before. I did have a DEXA scan in the first

Are my follicles growing too slowly?
Hi ๐๐ป Weโre at the beginning of our first ever IVF cycle. I had my first monitoring scan this morning, cycle day 6, day 5 of 150IU Bemfola. The Dr said she could see plenty of follicles and was happy with the numbers but the growth was a little slower than sheโd like. She kept reading out the numbers

b12 symptoms
Hi, Need advice on what else I should have included in my blood test. Haematologist is already going to test active B12, MMA and homocysteine after stopping B12 injections for 4 months to try to get to the bottom of why Iโm having symptoms. History of Hashimotos 2019, vitamin d 2020 plus co factors

Total fertilisation failure ICSI
We are absolutely devastated to find out today that we have had total fertilisation failure with our 5 eggs and ICSI. How is this possible? I am finding it difficult to come to terms with. Our first round we got 7 eggs and 100% fertilisation. They upped my stims this round from 225 ovaleap to 300
