No period since starting Levothyroxine
Hi there, Since taking Levothyroxine I haven’t had a period? Is this common? Up until taking the medication I was very regular. Does anyone have experience of this please? I have been on the medication since September. Grateful for any advice/help. Thank you.

Scarcity does not directly correlate with cessation of manufacturing.
When the WHO listed carb/levo as a critical med to have on hand big pharma stockpiled it. Now stockpiles are running low or out due to the fact it is off patent and makes no $ for Big P leading to repurposing, and of course cessation of manufacturing. This results in a concerted effort to have Dr's

Can thyroid function recover after RAI
I received RAI in 2010 for alleged nodules but then consultant thought I may have had Graves disease instead. Over the last 13 years, I have had my levothyroxine reduced from 150 to 100 and I fear it will be reduced again. I am 55 years old. My question is why does the doseage need reducing? Is it

thyroid tablets
hi all I recently started armour tablets as I was still having symptoms with 100 of Levo with a TSH of 0.06. I feel slightly better with less tiredness and pain in legs. However the private prescription is costing me £130 a month. This is going to be difficult long term. Does anyone know of a different

Sneaky GP
I am fuming, bloody GP. Sometimes I don't always get the full picture during an interaction but it all gets stored, then ra ndomly appears like a video, verbatim. Tonight's showing woke me at 03.55 with a start. Haven't been able to switch off since so in the end got up for tea and toast. So after

Advice needed please
Hi, I've just joined here so I hope I post this correctly. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism back in early 2011. For the most part my levels have been generally normal - with the exception of during my pregnancies, which has gradually seen me on a 150mg dosage. I take this first thing in the morning

Anybody else not able to drink alcohol on levothyroxine.
I seem to have developed a real sensitivity to alcohol which is very annoying! I used to be able drink a nice bottle of red and feel completely normal the next day. Now I feel rough for days it seems to be affecting me alot more since I’ve been on Levo. How does everybody else handle alcohol while on

Symptoms worse after diagnosis and starting Levo
Firstly I am so grateful to have found this community and have trawled the forum for experiences. I am currently having age related IVF and just had an embryo transfer cancelled due to us finding hypothyroidism. I had a pain in the neck but other than that I was fit as a fiddle - no swelling checked

Mitral Valve Af and fed up
hi all, I’ve been diagnosed nearly two years ago with AF. Cardio version worked for 5 days so was put on Amiodarone 200mg along with the usual others, Apixiban, Nebivolol. The Amiodarone messed my thyroid about so was put on a higher dose of Levothyroxine. Fast forward 5 months I get an appointment

advice please?
After having my 3rd child, I was not feeling good and had my tpo tested which came back as 390 but tsh was fine -2.9, a few months later I had the tests done again and tpo had climbed to 550 and tsh 7.9 and t4 was 10. It took me 6 weeks to get hold of my GP who then prescribed levothyroxine 50mc once
