Controlling Spasticity following Spinal Injury
Accidents
such as dropping things on the floor are much more likely to happen to someone who is paralysed and are also more difficult to rectify without help. There have been occasions when my wheelchair has become jammed in furniture and I have just had to wait for someone to call.

The last big weekend 😕
When the lockdown kicked in I decided I’d finally give the couch to 5k a go, after having the app for a couple of years 😳 I’ve absolutely loved it, the endorphins are indescribable and have really made such an impact on my wellbeing. I only wish I’d done it sooner. I’m finishing this week on my final

First run after injury
Well I’m finally back after three weeks out due to an injured knee! I had completed run 1 of week 9 so only had two runs to do so it was a but of a blow, especially having to watch others graduate who had started at the same time as me. But it could’ve been worse... I wasn’t sure where to start but decided

Nefopam?
I had a video consultation with my pain management doctor and one of the recommendations he made was to prescribe nefopam. He said this would be an as needed medication and I could take it up to 3 times per day in addition to my other pain meds (baclofen 10mg 3 times per day, paracetamol / dihydrocodeine

Hmmmm.... Unsure about recent consultation. Feeling rubbish 🤔😥
I was seen in the emergency gynae clinic last week for multiple gynae issues but scan normal. Phew !! This really is all I went for but the doctor I saw really upset me. After giving me the good news about my scan, she then followed with (very abruptly) 'do you want more children?' I said yes as this

W8R1 First injury
Been a little quiet these past few weeks, but have kept going and complected W7 over a week ago. Went out Sunday to start W8 and did the usual pre warm-up, right calf felt tight but kept going and got half way but had to stop as it was painful. Couldn't re-start so abandoned the run and on the way

Thai-ndt to Nature-Throid
Hi everybody, my Thai ndt(Thiroyd) stock is gone, so I ordered some nature-throid bcs. it is impossible to get any other Thai-ndt. I was on 4 grain of Thiroyd and for about a week I swap on 2,5 grain NT, knowing that is stronger than Thiroyd. I suppose my dose will be around 3 grain. Everything is fine

Lamotrigine side effects?
Hi all, hoping for some personal insite, I've started taking Lamotrigine and was on 25mg for 3 weeks, light headaches & a couple sleep issues but was okay. However since upping to 50mg on Monday (5 nights ago) I've been struggling nightly with prickly skin that feels like I'm being constantly bitten

Thinking of everyone going through a mmc
Hey, I know there are a few that have been through a miscarriage in the last couple of weeks and a few that have opted for surgery. I had an MVA this morning so I totally feel for you all. The procedure really wasn’t very pleasant and my husband couldn’t join me which was less than ideal. However the

W6R1 - Should be easy after W5R3 right? Wrong!
Overconfidence has been the downfall of many and it was nearly mine today. After completing the 20 minute non-stop run last week, a 5-8-5 run will be easy right? OMG how wrong I was. I finished it but I knew my mistake after a couple of minutes of the first run. I normally psych myself up for the runs

Just a thought
You fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no lawsuits from these
accidents
. You played with worms(well most boys did) and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever.
