Does spinal fusion help take away severe pain from kyphosis due to broken vertebrae? (T10-T12)
My doctor is saying that I need to get a spinal fusion because I broke T10 through T12 back in 2011 so over 12 years ago and it is caused severe phasis due to my osteoporosis and from never getting it surgically dealt with at the time. I'm working on getting my bones stronger and he saying that if I

I have been diagnosed Costachondritus as a result of sucessful Keyhole heart surgery. Looking for advice....
Hello 👋😊My physio said it would take a long time to heal and it was really about not straining the area further. Am supposed to be building up my heart post surgery so this is conflicting advice. Though could look at lower body activities to promote cardio strength I was wondering if Active 8 complete

CT GUIDED NERVE ROOT INJECTION LUMBAR.
Have had 2 Ct Guided nerve root injections about 10 years ago. Unfortunately the pain in both legs has returned. After seeing 2 consultants at my local hospital both are reluctant to offer me an injection. Instead I have received a letter telling me I am on the list to see a neuro surgeon at the Walton

Lutetium 177 for "early" grade 4 pc or amino acid suppression ?
Dear All,It's a story of two brothers in the uk. Older brother was identified with 4+5 pc. His urologist recommended that any sibling be tested for pc. I did so and it was discovered that I had 3+4 pc. Older brother , via our national health care system, NHS, has systemic treatment ( chemo and hormone

Blood Test Results.
Some of you will remember it took me a month to get blood test results because in the first instance the Doc who arranged them wanted to give me the results. Made about 3 appointments which were cancelled because he changed his working days or whatever so eventually decided that just to get the results

The Truth about Home Hemodialysis
It has been the hardest month I have ever had in my life. I promised I would write an honest and complete description of the process. I started on October 16th. The first week, I wrote about already. Not too many issues. But in my head, I was so overwhelmed. I was not ready for dialysis mentally in

Complications of Operations with AFIB
Just read a report stating Patients with preexisting atrial fibrillation (AF) have a 31% increased risk of death within 30 days after noncardiac surgery compared with matched patients without AF. I guess my hip operation being cancelled would have been easier to accept if this had been explained

Abdominal ultrasound
Hiya,Would just like people's views/experiences on if endo will be picked up on an ultrasound or the abdomen. I've had pelvic mri before which picked up endo everywhere and I'm awaiting surgery (endo, hysterectomy and bowel). I've not got abdomen pains so they've got me down for an ultrasound. I feel

Am I going the wrong way? ⬇️
Morning lovely people, my GP lowered my Thyroxin to 75mg from 100mg a month ago in order to get my TSH levels up, which have barely moved in ten years and were at 0.01 for ages and ages. This happened after I was prescribed T3 by a specialist just over ten years ago who has now even struck off. I can

Exercise after laparoscopy?
Had a laparoscopy 2 weeks ago to get rid of endo (including endomitrinoma), surgery went well & recovery is too. I'm not fully 100% yet but am so bored sitting around doing nothing! Does anybody have any recommendations for exercise post op that isn't too strenuous on the abs? Is swimming any good?

Opinions please - do I need to worry?
Sitting here feeling a bit concerned. I have been on pred since August 2020 and currently on 4mg. Apparently have adrenal insufficiency according to my rheumatologist in Norwich. My BP has been raised for a while but is normally stable somewhere between 138 -150 systolic and 72-76 diastolic. I agreed
