Does prednisone dose in PMR patients modify severity of COVID 19?
Pred was used at high doses, similar to Those for treatment of GCA in
SARS
patients, sometimes for long periods with harmful outcomes. PMR patients on lower doses ... will we see a modifying effect when infected, worse, or neutral?

ALL of us with CLL are immune compromised, so what does it mean to be immunocompromised? Why does this increase our risk of coronavirus?
[i]"Because immunocompromised people’s immune systems are defective or ineffective, they’re unable to stop invasion and colonisation by foreign intruders, including the
SARS
-CoV-2 virus, which causes COVID-19.

Feeling Abandoned and pointless
Today I feel like ending my life. The trauma the pain I have endured is bad enough without being made to feel unimportant or that what happened to me is insignificant. I was told that I was to have reconstructive surgery in six months, this has been the only thing getting me through this nightmare. A

Laparoscopy incisions taking ages to heal
Hi everybody. Hope you're all keeping safe and well. I had a lap with excision 3 weeks and 5 days ago. My stitches are still present and my surgery wounds are still sore. I spoke to my GP and he said that some people take longer. I have had a lap previously and they came out after about 2 and a half

COVID-19: Gilead’s unique dual CT on the drug “remdesivir” cancelled by China
As I discussed in an earlier post, Gilead (USA) was going to undertake a unique dual CT on the drug remdesivir to determine its efficacy in treating not only moderately infected patients but severely infected with COVID-19 (
SARS
-cov-2 Wuhan).

Scenarios for ending lockdown and how this will impact on those with CLL
Unfortunately, our CLL community will remain vulnerable until the communities where we live have established herd immunity - which requires about 60% of the community to have immunity to
SARS

Silicone Gel for scars
Has anyone used anything like this for scars on their face? I've just acquired one after some surgery to remove a minor skin cancer, so looking for advice. :)

7 science-based strategies to cope with coronavirus anxiety.
As the
SARS
