Infected wound.
Hi all Had my surgery on 9th September, recovery has been very well, better than expected but past couple of days my belly button has been very sore & tender to touch & a funny smell, my other wounds are not sore anymore. Has anyone else experienced this? I went to out of hour GP who wasn’t very interested

Could Your Mask Be a Kind of Vaccine Against COVID-19?
The theory -- and it remains largely a theory -- is that by filtering out airborne coronavirus droplets and thereby lowering the dose of
SARS
-CoV-2 a person inhales, infections have much less chance of producing symptoms.

Those who have appearance altering facial scars - How do you look in the mirror and not see a stranger.
I'm getting better with this, but ever since my injury I feel like my identity has split from who I was before the fire. Like when I think of my "old self" it's like I'm seeing her (myself) in a bird's eye view, or when I'm thinking of old memories and I realize it doesn't feel like nostalgia, but instead

Novel insights into the treatment of SARS-CoV-2 infection: An overview of current clinical trials.
A very long article to read and understand on a very wet, windy and cool Sunday. Probably Dr John Cambell could even make a week's worth of videos out of this. International Journal of Biological Macromolecules: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0141813020345645?via%3Dihub

Vaginal wall repair
Hi everyone. I'm new on this forum. I had a vaginal wall repair and bladder put back in place 12 days ago. Op went really well. I had very little pain after op. I suffered with this prolapse for over 40 years. Was offered the ring but declined it as it has to be removed and cleaned about every 6 months

Researchers Redesign the Face Mask to Improve Comfort and Protection.
Imagine a reusable face mask that protects wearers and those around them from
SARS
-CoV-2, is comfortable enough to wear all day, and stays in place without frequent adjustment.

COVID-19 high-risk groups: Why the immune system is less effective at fighting the virus.
There is likely an array of medical reasons why advancing age or health problems should make it more difficult for our bodies to fight an infection with
SARS
-CoV-2. One of the factors suspected of playing a major role in this regard was the immune system.
