Hydro vs pred
Hiya. My asthma has been going downhill over the past few days after quite a good stint. Although peak flow is not a good indicator for me, the GP (and AUK nurse) have recommended a course of oral steroids. A couple of years ago I was put on pred and had awful side effects. Food allergy testing back and It doesn't look good
I got my food allergy testing back and I am allergic to the big ones, gliadin, casein and soy, but I am also allergic to olive (including olive oil), honey, strawberries, apples, grapes, cucumbers and tomatoes. All the things I love to eat (except I have been gf for years). I didn't even know you could

Mould allergy
For years my symptoms have improved when I'm away from home. Not miraculously but I definitely feel more well when I'm away for a few days. One thing that has been confusing me is that when I am away I sleep through the night, maybe getting up to go to the loo once in the night. At home I get up six

Eczema & allergies
Hi Everyone, I'm 20 + 3 and happy to say everything going well. My husband (and his mother) both have bad eczema and my husband has allergy-related asthma and gets terrible hayfever. I guess I'd love to get a sense (I know it wouldn't be a very scientific study!) of anyone here who has or hasn't passed

IBS & food.
Hi everyone, I have suffered with IBS D&C for a few years and find it difficult to pin point any types of food that make it worse, tried keeping a food diary etc but the only food I did find that maybe made it worse was chocolate which I totally avoid now. Out of interest what foods do you all find that

Joint replacement and allergies.
I apologise in advance for how long this post may become but I would value your views on this as I'm quite worried now. Over the past few years I have had both knees replaced due to extreme pain caused by having no cartilage left in them and bone rubbing bone. Before having the first one done I explained

What are allergies and why are we getting more of them?
Not CLL specific, but given allergies involve our immune system and CLL can change our allergic response, this short but reasonably comprehensive overview by a panel of academic authors writing for 'The Conversation' may be of interest: https://theconversation.com/what-are-allergies-and-why-are-we-getting-more-of-them

I've been experiencing Allergies on my skin twice a week.
Hello I need help. I've been experiencing skin itchiness. It's been 4 months now. It comes every week, twice a week specifically. It is like a bite of a mosquito, little red dots on my arms and more on my legs. I have visited my allergy doctor, obgyne and a general doctor. They can't specify what's

Allergic to Hydroxocobalamin brand
I received B12 injections at the beginning of July, my symptoms have got worse. I attended a Gastro Clinic today, the Doc thinks I may have had an allergic reaction to the B12 Brand I was injected with. Just wondering has anyone else experienced this?

Allergies and Thyroxine Levels
Hi Does anyone know if allergies affect the thyroxine levels in the body? I seem to develop hypothyroid symptoms in the summer time and wondered if this was related. I am being tested for allergies at the moment. The pin prick test revealed a mild allergy to house mites and I am waiting for the results

Anyone ALLERGIC TO shellfish?
At the age of 17yrs I became so allergic to all shell-fish/ and fish. Up until the age of 17 I was able to eat any type of seafood, However after 17yrs I can't even be exposed to it. I know that anyone can develop an allergy from over exposure, Just wondered if any of my fellow APS friends have shellfish
