IgE anyone? 1716ku/l
Hi all, Dont know if this is the right community to post in but went for my regular 6 monthly THS rest and my GP ordered a food rast test to check for allergies. I've just logged on to my patient records and it says the below Food Panel - n/a IgE - abnormal - 1716ku/l (Normal range 0 - 81) Not familiar

endo says maybe allergic to all thyroid meds?? what do I do?! any advice??
so I saw Endo number 4 late last week who (like the other 3 endos before him ) had no idea why I cant tolerate levothyroxine (any brand, including liquid), NDT or Liothyronine in anything other than the smallest quantity and, even then, I suffer side effects on the smallest dose (and I mean like 12.5

Update on allergy to animals and public places
Hi everyone, A belated Happy New Year. Just thought I'd give you all an update on my attempts to get asthma exacerbated by allergies to animals recognised under section D of the Equality Act 2010. I made a complaint to GWR about dogs on trains last year. They failed to deliver so I've taken my request

Around 1/3 of the worlds food is wasted. 🌍
Hi everyone, as we have the tidy club and have had posts and polls on food waste here are some shocking statistics. Sudden change in asthma
Helloall, I have had asthma my whole life. I stupidly used to smoke but gave up 5 years ago this April. I have been generally fit and well since then and taken a keen interest in exercise, cycling 20 miles most days to and from work for the past 18 months. Prior to that I was exec ricing 6 days a week

Allergies to Food
Hi, I used to think that I was unique in having so many food allergies. I was wrong. In the last 10 plus years, I've been getting more sensitive to foods - so sensitive that I've actually been diagnosed with "Food Phobia" by a medical doctor. A few years ago, after experiencing a horrible anaphylactic

Anyone ever hear of Food Phobia?
I had been diagnosed with Food Phobia in 2015, believe it or not! I have so many food allergies that it's easier to write a list of what I am not allergic to than what I am allergic to. It took a medical assistant over half hour to list the food allergies from the Allergists' lists. When I go to the

Steroid nasal spray long term side effects
Hello. I use pirinase nasal spray for allergies and i just switched from beconase to it. I read that it uses a newer generation corticosteroid and has less long term side effects. I want to hear about any long term or rare side effects other people have had from using hayfever nasal sprays. Thanks.

10 years ago I created a Facebook group for patients at Lane Fox Unit at St Thomas’s hospital. There aren’t many members so I’ve renamed it and opened it up to anyone who uses a ventilator or CPAP. The aim is to connect people to share information and experiences. It’s open to those who have non invasive
