Bleeding after salvage radiation
Had radical prostatectomy 12/21. Salvage radiation about 11 mos ago. Currently about one year into Lupron + Abiraterone + prednisone. Recently experienced very mild rectal and/or blood in stool. Is this likely due to the radiation, or something else?

Shingles vaccination and PCa progression?
Hi everyone, I am planning to get Shingles vaccine, but afraid from the consequences. Gleason score 9 (4+5) Radical Prostatectomy 2017 > BCR 2019 SRT 8 weeks + Firmagon 6 injections (over 6 months). G 9 recurrence is inevitable (as we all know) so I am scared to take the Shingles vaccine. Any one

never adjusted
I had a mastectomy three years ago and I've never gotten over this deep seated shock as to how it looks. Don't bother writing if all you can think to say is I'm lucky the cancer is gone.

Laparoscopy oophorectomy
So I had surgery on Tuesday, was supposed to be a full open hysterectomy but I opted for laparoscopy removal of large endometrioma which may have been cancerous and removal of ovary and fallopian tube. I now have a 2 week wait for results of endometrioma and omental biopsy, if positive then I will have

Low psa, but have pca
Is there anyone else out there who had a normal PSA,but has prostate cancer. After MRI showing a lesion and in biopsy they see two spots of Gleason 6 cancer, one in each side of prostate. Even though it's a Gleason 6, urologist at top teaching hospital in Philadelphia says I need a radical prostatectomy

The Stoma Begining
I’ve had prior Cancers like Bowell Cancer, Stage3 Testicular Cancer which are in remission and then Bladder Cancer. It was cleared but I was having Cystoscopies every 3mths to ensure the Bladder Cancer hadn’t returned. But what happened the last one which was in February my Urologist found the Bladder

mastectomy
Well my surgery went well,Only problem was as I expected low oxygen levels after the anesthetic. so glad I opted for Mastectomy-would never have coped with further operations and up to 18 months of treatment if I had opted for reconstruction..Only appts now are with a district nurse to check dressings

Looking for a Surgeon with Specific Skills
This is a long shot. I’m an Aussie. I had HD brachytherapy for prostate cancer in 2010. In 2016, I was diagnosed with Carcinoma in Situ in the bladder. I’ve had multiple rounds of BCG, and I’m now heading towards a radical cystectomy. My urologist is nervous about the risk of damage to the rectum

low grade serous ovarian cancer
hello I’m new to the group but I was diagnosed with low grade ovarian cancer in October 2020 and have since had a radical hysterectomy in December 2020 followed by 6 rounds of chemo starting in June 2021 which didn’t remove all the cancer I was given a course of letrozole but this didn’t work for me.

dexa scan whilst on pred?
Not sure I will get a response to this question from you good people on here before the GP rings. I was never offered a dexa scan before being issued with adcal. Is is too late to have one now? I have been on them since February 2023 and wondered if there is any point asking for one.

Breast cancer - mastectomy or not
Hi allI was diagnosed with Stage 4a high grade serous OC in September 2022 and I've just had my last post-surgery chemo (for the time being at least)😊. I'm BRCA2 and aged 60 and the hospital genetics team have been telling me about the risk of getting breast cancer (as if ovarian cancer wasn't enough

Still no joy from Doctor 🤦
After sending my private blood results to Dr refused to increase levo had phone appointment, kept insisting TSH suppressed & danger of osteoporosis. I tried to keep calm to explain my thoughts & where I'd research my information. Dr then asked which lab I'd used & where was it..... Quite upset/annoyed

off Pramipexole
It took me 6 months to come off Pramipexole very slowly! Breast cancer interrupted things and I paused my reduction programme whilst I had a mastectomy. After surgery I had some respite from my restless legs as my ferretin levels increased which is normal after surgery. They are dropping back now.

Hurts breathing in on left side/lung...
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone might have experienced this or some thoughts. Sorry this is so long a post. This morning I woke up and my left lung/back/shoulder hurt, much more so with breathing in. I thought it might be I'd slept oddly and/or my arthritis as other parts of me ached and back and spine
