ropinirole for PD and melanoma risk
Especially the warning about increased
melanoma
risk. I understand that most anti PD meds have at least 2x increased risk of
melanoma
, but I could not find any research that quantified how much ropinirole increases
melanoma
risk. Has anybody looked into this?

private dermatologist for mole check
Hello, I was recently diagnosed and had surgery for
melanoma
in October 2023 in the US. I am currently doing well but am looking for recommendations for a private dermatologist preferably in the Cambridgeshire area that is well versed in
melanoma
and can do mole check every few months for me.

melanoma
can lack pigmentation â these are known as amelanotic

Thank you Angela for sharing your story!
Shortly after returning home from hospital I started on targeted therapy to treat my
melanoma
which has been working really well ever since.

Amelanotic Melanoma
They can appear flat and irregular, indicating an amelanotic superficial spreading
melanoma
, or elevated and firm to touch, indicating an amelanotic nodular
melanoma
. They may also present as a non-healing sore on the sole of the foot or lesion under the nail.

What is Melanoma?
Melanoma
begins in melanocytes â the cells that produce the pigment melanin that colours the skin, hair and eyes. Melanocytes also form moles, where
melanoma
often, but not always develops.

Malignant melanoma advice
This is NOT for me, but for a friend who has just had a facial
melanoma
(?2a) removed and needs a wider excision. I've looked for HU
melanoma
communities and surprised to find none with very many members. Our friend needs advice and a 2nd opinion etc.

Melanoma Surgery while taking Actemra and Prednisone
I just found out I have to have a
melanoma
surgery, and a surgery called âlymph node biopsyâ where they remove some lymph nodes to determine if cancer has spread. My question is: should I increase/decrease prednisone or Actemra for this?

when immune therapy and nanotechnology meet
In mice, the two therapies combined resulted in the total regression of
melanoma
tumors, and prevented them from growing back when the animals were exposed to the same tumor cells again four months later.

Which marker tests can I use for melanoma?
I was diagnosed with
melanoma
a week ago and had a surgery yesterday. I have not chosen a
melanoma
oncologist yet. My husband has prostate cancer, so before I was interested in Advanced Prostate Cancer community, and they helped me a lot. Now I have my own cancer.

I would appreciate if you give some specific advice how to behave if one has
melanoma
. The surgeon said my
melanoma
looks mild; she will know for sure after the biopsy is done. I don't want to wait until my cancer gets more dangerous.

Rise in WBC
Hello to all, My husband has CLL, he has also been treated for metastatic
melanoma
which from his latest CT scan is NED. He will receive his last immunotherapy infusion next week. We are beyond grateful.

Hiccups along the way!
The 8 years leading up to that upheaval was filled with operations for my husband's vascular disease and then
Melanoma
, advanced
melanoma
and then metastatic
melanoma
. If someone had told me at the beginning of my PMR journey to cut out carbs I may have not put on nearly so much weight.
