ear admin thank you for letting me join this IBS site as it may help my husband to understand it, and me too. So about 3 months my husband was diagnosed by a doctor over the phone, and also to see a doctor at the surgery as he had been having tummy troubles. My husband has been prescribed Mebeverine

Recurrence?im scared
I don't know where to start because I'm scared to death. I already made a post about my situation but I need to talk more about it with people who understand my situation. My mother, my beloved mother... my reason for living. In 2020 she underwent surgery for stage one seromucinous adenocarcinoma

How Coeliac, Non-Coeliac Gluten Sensitivity (NCGS) and Wheat Sensitivity can impact ONE person on a PsychoSocial Scale !!
It says it all really. Today, I spoke to someone else who is gluten sensitive. They told me about the difficulties of having to explain themselves to others. I quipped, ‘I don’t like your cooking,’ as a cheeky answer. They chuckled. All of the above are very difficult and poorly understood illnesses

Diverticulitis struggle to recover
So moving on from my original post and I thank everyone who was kind enough to reply or offer support/suggestions. I’ve spoken with a Dr this morning and have a face to face apt this afternoon. I started to try and eat small amounts of sloppy food yesterday. Scrambled egg and later a little mash in

Low FODMAP diet trial
I've been trying to stick to low FODMAP foods for just over a week now. I am still getting some bloating and pain so I wonder if some foods I've eaten are not actually low in FODMAPs: different sources of information provide different ratings for certain foods and I'm confused. Can anyone recommend

Finally a specialist appointment...
I am looking forward to an appt in 2 days with a specialist in proctology and she is a colon surgeon and does pelvic floor therapy as well. My hemerrhoids - or whatever this is - are not getting better. Keeping the constipation under control with diet, water, miralax and occasional stool softener.

Biologic therapies
I am interested to know if anyone found the injection painful? My first was in the thigh and I am wondering if next time to try the arm or stomach area? Or am I just being a big baby?! 🫣

well I am officially no exercise for at least 6 weeks and only gentle for the following 6. I have finally had my liver cyst done ( a fenestration - basically a large window cut in it so it doesn’t refill this times) and I am home now recovering. the op itself was fine but you do not realise how much

not PCa related but promising in vivo therapy for cancer metastasis
”The polymer eliminates colorectal cancer liver metastases and prolongs mice survival, after only a single-dose therapy. The findings were published in Nano Today, a leading journal in the field of nanotechnology.” https://m.jpost.com/health-and-wellness/article-795801

update
unfortunately the liver mets have returned to Martins liver. It is 6 months since chemo finished. There are multiple small mets. Martin is still feeling well. No fatigue, loss of appetite or pain. His MO said that this is very bad and gave a prognosis of 12 months. He is starting Martin on carboplatin

New to IBS struggling to find a pattern
Hi All,I have recently joined this community after I have spent the last 10 days in pain and after my doctor suggested that it could be IBS and as far as I can tell I tick all the boxes for IBS-C. I have gone to the hospital where all checks were negative but haven't done a colonoscopy because they said

Hospital admissions
hello everyone, I was recently admitted into hospital again due to the severe weight loss due to my IBS symptoms. Usual round of blood, urine, stool tests all of which came back negative for disease. I must be the healthiest person there apart from the fact I have dropped from 12 stone to 6 stone

Mucus back again
Hi all. As some may remember I suffer from ongoing mucus discharge from rectum. I had a colonoscopy done year and 3/4 ago and clear. All tests.I went gluten dairy free. It worked and did stop it happening everyday but for some weird reason past 3 weeks I've had all my symtoms back again with vengeance

staples coming out from the colectomy stump!
I had a colostomy due to CT scan showing holes in my colon and abscesses on the wall behind. I began to have clear fluid leaking from the stump like a running faucet! I told the surgeon about it and he simply shrugged his shoulders and offered no advice. The leaking fluid stopped for a month. Now

Hi I've had ibs c for so so long. Over the years I've learnt what does and doesn't suit me with my diet. I'm now mainly ok in comparison but also as I've got older I get bouts of diarrhea which I know are from eating foods that don't agree with me. I had a fair amount of cream cake over Christmas I'm
