So I have been suffering with very painful periods ever since I started my period at the age of 12/13. My periods have always been excruciating with symptoms such as: bad pack pain, shooting pain in my legs, severe pelvic pain, sweats, irregular bowel movements, heavy bleeding and clots. Coil fitting at colposcopy unit
Hi everyone So I've decided to give the merina coil ago. As I'm currently tricycling and only had excision surgery in September and definitely on the slope back down. I really struggle with having speculums so even for smears I go to the colposcopy units at hospital as its slightly better in their purposes

Giving up on your IUD?
Hello all, Just wondering if anyone has any insights or personal stories on when it might be sensible to give up on your IUD. I've had a mirena before, and experienced more cramping with it. After removal, the cramping went away but the pain to poo from the endo came back. About 4 years later I'm now

Survival
Living with Generalised Anxiety Disorder and IBS, is simply a case of trying to get through the day. It’s not living. It’s survival. I wake in the morning and I long for bedtime. I nap so I don’t have to deal with my ever-obsessive thoughts. I can look forward to nothing. 😞

Alternative to IUD for endo treatment?
Hey everyone! I'm new here. Suffered with endo undiagnosed for years, and was finally given a diagnosis in 2017. Last year I had 2 laparoscopys, a hysteroscopy and was fitted with the Kyleena IUD. Since then I have felt extremely emotional[i], have had periods of feeling really depressed and have gained

Obsessive brain tortures me
I’ve had a few good days, but I’m concerned that the bad feelings will come back. The sane, rational part of me says, “Yes, they will. Bad feelings come to everybody sometimes. But feelings are not facts. And they usually don’t last for very long (it just seems like they do.)” I think part of the problem

Copper coil & no period
Hi. I had the copper coil fitted at the end of April and yet to have a period. I’m over a week late now and usually like clockwork. I’m confused because there are no hormones in the copper coil and read that it shouldn’t change my cycle. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

My experience of the Mirena IUD and Mirena Crash - please read if you are considering having the coil, or are about to have it removed
Hey everyone, I hope you're all having as pain-free a day as possible. I thought I would write a post dedicated to my experience with the Mirena, as if I had seen something like this before I got mine I could have saved years of trouble and wouldn't be in the position I am now with the dreaded crash

Best contraception
I just wanted to ask for opinions on different contraception. I have tried lots of different pills e.g norothisterone and different combined pills. I have had the depo injection and also the Mirena coil. I am having the coil removed as it hasn’t worked and is embedded in my womb but I am just wondering

Has anyone tried physiotherapy to treat adhesions?
Hi Was wondering if anyone had tried physiotherapy to treat adhesions? I developed pelvic inflammatory disease in June 2018 after having a contraceptive coil fitted. Unfortunately the infection was some sort of stubborn anaerobic bacteria and had affected the cervix, womb and both ovaries and it’s taken

Gabapentin dose increase or add mirapex?
I was wondering if it would mean a lower dose of the mirapex might be possible in combination with the gabap, so less risk of augmentatiin/

Bowel symptoms
Hey, In hindsight I always had gynae symptoms but due to lack of knowledge didn't realise. By 2011 these were extreme. Was diagnosed with endo 2012 but think they didn't realise the extent of it. Had laser which now realise is mistake and mirena fitted. Things didn't really improve. In 2014 had another
