Just been diagnosed with Asthma, even though have not had the results of the Chest X Ray back yet. Doctor is fairly certain it's Asthma. My lung function was pretty dire - scored 130 and should be around 400 :/ Just wanted to introduce myself as I can see myself coming here often, having been diagnosed

Pleural effusion, its implications and pain relief
My husband has been diagnosed three days ago with pleural effusion and is due to have it drained in a weeks time. He's been on the Flair trial with ibrutanib for three years and generally has done quite well on it, with a couple of blips. He's had to come off it in preparation for the procedure. The

My son - photosensitive rash?
My eldest gets
hay
fever
which is how I started. I had allergies and terrible dry skin as a child. But daughter gets recurrent UTIs. So it’s always on my mind, along with the nagging guilt. But my middle boy had a rash on his legs last week.

Heart Murmurs Worried
Hello everyone, I have been having heart palpitations (tachycardia) for the last 4 months. I had an appointment with cardiologist today and he listened to my heart and found out murmurs but ECG came back normal with fast heart rate. He now asked for ECHO, 72 hours monitor, and chest X-ray to be done.

UPDATE: FIRST HAEMO APPOINTMENT. NO PV.
Just thought I'd send an update as I went to my haematologist appointment today (see previous post for info/comments) and thought my experience might help others here who are curious about PV and don't have a diagnosis yet. I was referred to Haemo when my bloods came back several times with RBC 6.0,

Anxiety, air hunger and citalopram
My anxiety started in th middle of March after 2 or 3 years of a lot of stress that I thought I was dealing with and didn't share with anyone, not even my partner. I had a massive panic attack one night, felt I couldn't breathe, couldn't catch my breath, was awake all night, called ambulance next day,

Called back for repeat chest X-ray
Hi I had a chest X-ray and blood tests prior to starting biologics. I have been waiting for CCG funding for the last 5 weeks and got the go ahead last week. Now I’ve had a phone call from my hospital X-ray department asking me to go in for a repeat chest X-ray from a different angle and of course I’

Concerned
At first I put it down to
hay
fever
induced asthma, but I’m now beginning to think this may be angina. Obviously will be going to doc when I can get in next week. I just didn’t think chest pain from something cardiac would feel like this?

Hay fever
I’m going out of my mind with my
hay
fever
symptoms. I wake up with a blocked nose and it never clears properly then the next morning it’s all blocked again. My blocked nose makes it hard to breathe. I have itchy, dry, scratchy, watery eyes. I sneeze. My nose runs and itches like mad.

Update on Lymph Node Metastatic Prostate cancer
Today, I had bloodwork, CT Scan, Bone Scan, and Chest Xray. First, my PSA is down from 0.17 on Feb 28 to 0.1 today, a decrease by 41%. Previously, my PSA was 4.48 at the start of Casodex and Lupron in Nov '18. It went down by 96% by end of Feb '19. Should my PSA gone down to undetectable by now? The

Shortness of breath
Hi all, for the last 3 months I’ve been having shortness of breath and a really tight chest. It occasionally goes for about a day or two then comes back. I’ve had a Chest x-ray, an ECG, a blood test and an Astmha test and they have all come back fine. My GP said that it could be anxiety but I am convinced
