Just recently I changed over to Dupilumab from
Fasenra
and as well as curing my eosinaphilic asthma it has now got rid of my nasal polyps so for the first time in probebly 15 years I can smell and taste.

How long did you wait for biologics?
They've said I qualify for two diff ones: Nucala (mepolizumab) and
Fasenra
(benralizumab) and think that the Faserna will be best.

blood pressure and biologics
I have been on
Fasenra
for three months now and last week my blood pressure shot up and has stayed high ever since. Has anybody else found this to happen? I really don't want to take meds but may have to.

Peoples experience of biologics
I had my first injection of
Fasenra
in December and second one in Jan. I am due my third one next week. I am aware it is still early days but this time, as with the previous time, it seems as if my asthma starts to deteriorate in the 7 - 10 days prior to the injection.

another flare.
As the
fasenra
didn’t help. just felt the need to share. It’s such a roller coaster and so demoralising constantly having the same thing happen. I know I’m not alone. So decided today to stay in pjs. And do nothing but rest.

stopping Fasenra due to side effects
does anyone know how long it takes to get
Fasenra
out of your system? I was on Nucala and thanks to a post here learned it took about four months to leave the system, which was in fact what happened.

fasenra. unusual side effect?
I know this is going to seem crazy but I am on my third
Fasenra
injection and I am noticing a sensation of a strong smell around me, rather like cooked bacon! I hope it is going to wear off (like the aches and pains!) because it is not nice.

Update: Severe Asthma (Eosinophilic) & Clinic referral & Fatigue
They diagnosed severe esinophilic asthma and have recommended me for biologics (
fasenra
) so waiting for the approval now to go though. They said it prob won't be a problem but there's a process so will take a few weeks. I feel so relieved that there's some help and hopefully this will help me.

Are biologics (Xolair, Dupixent, Nucala or Fasenra) really worth the cost & side effects
I have asthma as well as elevated eosinophols (~850 mcL). The asthma is well controlled with an inhaler, but I have some concerns with long-term use of an inhaler so my interest is peaked by all of the advertisements about the various biologic treatments. For those who take one of these biologics

Biologics
Had mepo and
fasenra
- sadly not responded to either. Waiting to start on xolair but after seven years not that hopeful. I am still working full time - but not sure for how much longer.

How were you diagnosed?
I was switched to
fasenra
which showed promise - you are given larger doses initially - when dropped to two monthly once again things fell away. Xolair is next on the list. Towards the end of July my asthma got worse - I thought I may end up in hospital but luckily this was avoided.

Desperate and worried
I started
Fasenra
(benralizumab) in March 2020. Must say I found the efficacy to be very good. Weaned off prednisone. Stopped
Fasenra
after 4 months as I had 3 infections in short period.

Query
Hi Does anyone know if there must be a gap between having The covid vaccine and taking my
Fasenra
injection. My
Fasenra
injection is due soon and could be called in any day soon for the vaccine. I will be calling the severe asthma nurse. But just thought I’d ask Thank you
