My health issue started first with alopecia back April 2021 when I noticed my mustache having a patch spot. Than slowly it spread all over mustache and beard towards Sept 2022. During that same time, I noticed hair start falling in clusters. Did not fall entirely but called diffuse alopecia. However, I start getting dry cough in Dec 2022. So went to the doctor several times beginning of 2023 and was told might be due to allergy. I had chest x-ray no issues were seen.- Towards end of March 2023 I got COVID and had another CT scan done and found Ground Glass opacities seen in my lungs. All along this, I still had cough but changed from dry to mucus. I had to go to ER twice to get my cough under control but no luck. I was given Symbicort and Alvesco inhaler but did not help. So suffering for good 6months, I was referred to pulmonary dept and there I asked to get bronchoscopy. I was diagnose with eosinophils pneumonia and put on taking steroids - prednisone. I started this steroids from July until November but as soon as I don't take more than a week the cough is back and lots of mucus. Finally given Fasenra which gave me some relief but my cough did not go away completely. Took 3 shots (injection) from December 2023 until Feb 2024. I stop taking prednisone for a month and notice my hair falling again. So I am going to take Nucala starting next week Feb 20th 2024.
My alopecia is worst and wondering if this is anything to do with Fasenra. Will see if hair regrow after taking Nucala.
