Ear wax removal
Evening everyone, I was, wondering if ear wax removal can make tinnitus worse. I've booked in for next week at Specsavers but keep wondering if it will make the T sound louder. It's loud enough and seems to have a mind of its own. Grateful for answers please 🙏😊

Does acupuncture help tremor?
Does acupuncture help tremor? My partner has tremor which is distressing. He was diagnosed 2 years ago and given sinemet but this does not help with the tremor. I’ve read that acupuncture helps and wonder if anyone here has experience?

Hi all. I haven't been diagnosed with an AN but have had tinnitus in both ears since last year after being prescribed an anti bio by my gp. I find that bad enough as have ended up in worse state than I started thanks to anti bios .a recent stay in hospital where given a large dose of more anti

An 'AN' future?
I had a review of my deteriorating hearing today following my earlier hearing tests and an MRI at Addenbrooke's five weeks ago. Today was actually an appointment with the audiologist for review of my hearing aids but she kindly popped round to the medics to see what the state of play is with the MRI

Managing diabetes and help with tinnitus, hyperacusis, vertigo, et al
I'm 47 yr old and following a blood test I've been told I have diabetes type 2. Along with nausea, vertigo, spikes in tinnitus and increased noise sensitivity, I've been really tired. However, I had linked tiredness and the lack of energy due to getting too little sleep due to other symptoms. I hadn't

On top of everything else, Now I have covid19!
What a misery this has been. All the places PMR strikes is three times worse with covid. I don't want to take anymore prednisone so am trying aleve and that is helping with pain. I have never had anything like this in my life. Now I have lost my sense of smell and taste. I bought a large bag of the cinnamon

Timing of progesterone
Hi all - silly question alert. When do people usually start progesterone supplements for a medicated FET? i.e. do you always start in the evening and then transfer in the morning 5 days later or do some people start in the morning? This is without an ERA and for a 5 day blast. I had a scan yesterday

Hello!
Hello to my new community! I'm a 61-year-old female with Primary Progressive MS. I was diagnosed very late, age 57. Life as I knew it is over. With that said I have a question I don't think (neither does my neuro) is related to my disease. I am going to dive right in with a question regarding hearing

ENT referral plus a drug
Hi all. Me again. I posted the other day saying that the last 3 weeks with T have been dreadful. Yesterday I saw my GP here in Spain. She took a full history and examined inside my ears, which were clear. She has raised a petition, as they call it here, to get a consultation with an ENT specialist

Bad cold and tinnitus louder than ever
I've got a stinking cold and my tinnitus (which I've had 24/7 since March) is the loudest it's ever been and my ears are blocked making me feel dizzy too. Does anyone else find their T gets worse with a cold? I have also recently been diagnosed with vestibular migraine so having to deal with daily dizziness

Ent told me I have an infection. What does that mean for my tinnitus?
Went to an Ent a few hours ago. He told me I have some sort of infection and prescribed antibiotics. I went to him for the first time 5 days ago right when my tinnitus started and asked him if that is the cause but he didn't really eplain. Will the tinnitus subside once the infection is cleared?

Intermittent weird dull and occasional shooting pain behind ear
Hello all! Quick question, I’m on watch and wait for a 17mm AN, which other than causing deafness and screaming tinnitus, isn’t impacting too badly…. But I’ve been getting an intermittent pain in the boney skull bit behind the ear on AN side only … I thought it may be from the hearing aid (which of course

So is life over?
Hey there . This is my first post here mainly because I first started experiencing tinnitus 5 days ago and haven't really had much time to scour the internet for differents forums. I just woke up with it one morning and it hasn't stopped since. I went to an ENT to get it checked out and he is still

Hopeful but disappointed
I thought I would share the appointment I had on Friday. I was thinking there and then that it would be sorted but no. I went in to see an audiologist of some sort and then all he did was syringe which helped as I have small ear canals and he also said about to just carry on with therapy which I have

Acupuncture Mats
Hi all, Since my bypass I have had a lot of lingering upper-body aches and pains as well as a recent bout of sciatica which has been uncomfortable to say the least. I have been considering getting an acupuncture mat and pillow to hopefully relieve some of the pain. Has anyone here tried one before
