Afib or PACS
My afib/flutter has been well controlled in recent months with Tikosyn and propranolol and my year old pacemaker but the past few evenings following dinner I have had episodes of very brief tachycardia. I wear an apple watch so have quickly checked and can see jump to 120 and last night 150. They are

Cutting an extended release tablet in half?
I ended up in the emergency room again yesterday, with tachycardia, just like last month and the month before. Finally, was converted with two 5 mg doses of diltiazem, given about an hour apart--just like last time and the month before. Today I had a phone consultation with my EP who suggested increasing

Reducing Pred and side effects
Hello all you lovely people and a belated Happy New Year. I haven’t been on here for ages, but don’t know what to do really. My GP is slowly weaning me off the Pred. I’ve had no problems at all, but just a few days after reducing from 3 mg to 2, I started to feel pretty grotty: head pain, nausea, and

Propranolol as a PIP for Paroxysmal Afib
Hi folks, Has anyone tried this approach as an alternative PIP to Flecainide (which I really don't get on with at all)? Please share any experiences, good or bad! Many thanks

Flecinade
Hi I'm already on 5mg of bisoprolol and when I had another visit to A&E with afib I had a cardioversion and was then put on 50mgs flecinade twice a day. Ivd been on this for about 3 to 4vweeks but am now experiencing chest tightness and I'm even more breathless than I was when I was just on bisoprolol

Flecainide 100-150-now 200 and possibly higher timescale
Hi All First question from me today is what sort of timescales did people have when they went from 100 flec upwards to eventual ablation as we know your stopped at 300 mg ... So I started on 100 initially and this was good although a few blips occurred so ideally I should have started on 150 flec .

AF - Status and Way Forward?
Comments are appreciated re. my AF observations/ comments. Have been in PAF getting on for a year now. Aged 68 with no comorbidities. T4, Metavive - Atrial Fibrillation, did I mess up?
Hi All, I've been in the process of switching from Thiroyd (NDT now discontinued) to Metavive and ultimately to mostly T4 with maybe a little T3. During the period on Metavive II only I had my first ever atrial fibrillation attack without warning. It felt like an irregular heartbeat + palpitations

Bisoprolol side effects?!
Have had 2 AF episodes 3 months apart in 2020. Cardioversion after each. No recurrence in last 8 months. On apixaban for last 12 months. No side effects that I'm aware of. On Bisoloprol 1.25mg per day and Flecanide 100mg per day after second cardioversion last April. Much less energy than before taking

Short bouts of nsr
Is it possible to go into nsr for a few hours here and there. I was in persistent Afib after pneumonia for four months with flutter then had a cardioversion that lasted for two weeks. Had it confirmed by docs back into Afib but over last to weeks have noticed my heart rate variability was low and
