Is xarelto better or worse then eliquis?
I was given xarelto for a dvt but I’m wondering what is the better blood thinner to take xarelto or eliquis? My doctor said I could take either. Has anyone had bad experiences with either? I’m scared to take it but I know I have to.

Self-injection and anticoagulants
I was prescribed 9 loading doses over 1 month and 6 x 1 monthly injections, so I know that it’s OK to receive injections as frequently as this on
anticoagulants
. Just wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation?

The Haemothromb Test®
I am a UK citizen living in Hungary with two ablations under my belt (6 years apart). I currently take Pradaxa as the anticoagulant but am considering returning to warfarin. I was researching INR self testing machines when I came across this INR test - The Haemothromb Test®. I will investigate it further

COVID-19 & Abnormal Coagulation.
Recent papers below. As some will know, I am very interested in PCa-related coagulation. I believe that control of microclots may prevent metastasis (& further mets in those who have some.) Clot control can also prevent DVTs & fatal pulmonary embolisms. The D-dimer test is very useful when a clot is

Hello all, first time on here so thank you in advance. Have severe pain in my hands, feet and elbows and just had my blood tests back. One that concerned me was the RF of 625. I know this is very high as the GP was quite shocked. Have an appointment with the rheumatologist in August but the GP wants

Anyone else have INR readings like this?
This constant swinging is ruining my life. It makes me so ill. Getting very down and depressed. My diet is as advised. I’m Lupus anticoagulant positive. Here is a graph of this months readings, last 4 tests. It has been suggested that maybe I don’t metabolise vit K properly. Anyone had that problem?

New Frightening Discovery About COVID-19

Diagnosed with myocarditis in January. Took colchicine for three months. Diagnosed with arterial fibrillation last month so now take blood thinners. Was feeling fine. Did a little gardening Saturday and now have chest discomfort. I don't know if it's arterial fibrillation, repeat of myocarditis or muscle

Pulmonary embolism advice
Hi everyone, Hope you are all ok and keeping safe. Two weeks ago I was diagnosed with Pulmonary Embolism. I'll be under blood thinners for 6months. Even though my left leg is not completely swollen anymore and it's less painful, I have to say that I'm starting to run out of air again. Seems like I was

Still in hospital and being a wimp....
Last time they were adamant I should be on
anticoagulants
despite the HHT, and this time they are equally adamant I should NOT take them even though the nose surgeon said i should if necessary. Just gave me digoxin again but it does very little. Waiting for experts to return tomorrow now.

Eliquis and shortness of breath
How to deal with the shortness of breath attributed to Eliquis. Is there a good time to take it to avoid the side effect when walking as part of my exercise program? Is there another blood thinner that does not have this side effect? Being outside is so important for my mental health during this crisis
