AF & Low Blood Platelets
Since starting treatment for AF last year on beta blockers & blood thinners that made it worse than it was & became a problem my blood plates have declined from normal 150 to 20-30 range in 6 months. Having stopped all medication there has been no change in 6 months on NO medication. It is well documented

Slow slow taper after appointment with rheumatologist
Appointment with my Rheumatologist tonight has totally disappointed me! I came out wondering whether to get another opinion but that's probably because I didn't want to hear what he was saying to me! Having got down to 1mg (and in self denial that the pain was coming back) I reluctantly had repeat bloods

Still only 1 and 1 only AFIB reading since Oct, 2020
Only one finding of afib since October 2020. I bought a Kardia immediately after and check myself about 25 times a week. 73 years old and all is good. Moving forward to November of 2022, my cardio doc believes I should still take the miserable Eliquis twice daily. Eliquis pretty much makes my life a

Update on Mayo visit
Apparently it is an unacceptable reason to say: we cannot say why you had the second stroke while on
anticoagulants
and your INR level is perfect at 2.7 (my range for INR is 2.0-3.0) or where it came from.

Apixaban - Head injury
Hi, I just wanted to post about something I had not thought about. I fell and slightly banged my head, got up and although a bit shook up felt ok and carried on. About 4 days later I felt a slight headache but more of a fuzzy feeling which I can only describe as moving around in my head. I felt fine

Can you keep focus in large group settings?
Hi all. I have ET Jak2 positive. I take hydroxycarbamide, blood thinners and statins. I really struggle to focus in a large group setting e.g. a party or meeting. People talk to me and I feel as though they go out of focus. I can nod, show appropriate reactions etc but communication on my end is limited

WHAT TO TAKE TO BOOST IMMUNE SYSTEM
I am reaching out to you wonderful people again - does anyone know what I can take to boost my immune system. I have seen products advertised that do this but the drugstore pharmacist told me that when you have afib you can't take anything for it. I have a sore throat and before I had afib I would take

Tummy problems with blood thinners
Started Apixaban 2 months ago and had immediate problems with tummy upsets and loose stool, so changed to Edoxaban but still having difficulty with control. Can anyone identify with this issue, please? It is really getting me down. Many thanks

low heart rate at night
My hr is going low at night, well below 60 at night, looks like from app all night, which I’m not happy with. I have had NO checks what so ever on a voluntary basis from GP , in fact I’d asked couple of weeks ago when I visited to be passed off, casually said don’t take the Bisoprolol and then don’t

hi I’m on edoxaban 60mg once a day for suspected AF which they are on the fence with. They can’t say my Apple Watch is 100 💯 correct but they can’t say it’s 💯 incorrect. So they are flummoxed. So as a precaution they’re keeping me on the blood thinners. I’ve been on it now for around six months. But

Hi all, I have been on Rivaroxaban since I was diagnosed with AF some 30 months ago when i became more obviously symptomatic.
