The end of Parkinson's as we know it today. From the Levodopa era to the "transformative" information era.

Really bad DEXA scan result
Hi folks, I've not posted in a while but have used the time wisely - more about that later. You may remember I was being railroaded into a Zoledronic acid infusion without having a DEXA scan first-the GP insisted I'd need the infusion anyway after being on high dose Prednisolone for more than a year

Painful shoulder blade.
I posted last week asking for help choosing osteoporosis/osteopenia treatments. Everyone was so kind and I was offered lots of experience and advice, thank you all. I had already taken my first dose of Alendronic acid and was having a reaction to it in the form of shoulder blade pain. 8 days later

Shock, upset and flare up of hashimotos thyroiditis
I wondered if anyone is kindly able to offer advice please. I recently lost my dad suddenly a month ago. I was able to carry on working for a 3 weeks, though I was upset, I was able to physically work. However last week because it was his funeral I went downhill on the Monday suffering with an enormous

Should my husband take Alendronic Acid
Hi, my husband is being advised to go on Alendronic Acid because he has brittle bones and two fractures in his spine. He has stage 4 prostate cancer and also broke his femur last Christmas 2021, his femur has not healed. They are advising him to go on AA because of the breaks and he has brittle bones

Possibility of wrong diagnosis Osteporosis Be Aware
Back in October was diagnosed with severe Osteoporosis, fractured a vertebrae stood at the kitchen sink. My T-scores were -2.7 hip and 4.8 spine. I was diagnosed over the phone following a Dexa scan. I was so shocked as this was all out of the blue. The doctor prescribed me Alendronic Acid. As I

You are not alone
I fought taking something for low bone density from prednisone. Asked my PC if I could try calcium and vitamin D first because I was so afraid of the side effects. I regret waiting now because things got worse. I talked it over with my dentist and she set my mind at ease by telling me she had many patients

IV Alpha Lipoic Acid Treatment for PBC and autoimmune hepatitis
Has anyone looked into or done the IV alpha lipoic acid infusion treatment for PBC, developed by Dr. Berkson? I've been diagnosed with overlapping PBC and autoimmune hepatitis and doctors are hesitant to prescribe immunosuppressants since I recently had breast cancer. I'm looking for treatment alternatives

*Sensitive* - 5th transfer update
Hi all I've been a little quiet on here with my own updates as I have been wrapping my mental health in cotton wool a little after the rollercoaster of our last transfer attempts and miscarriage last year. But I just wanted to share some good news (as I don't often get to!). I'm also really sorry if

Is that normal blood pressure be higher than normal in B12 deficiency ?
My blood pressure increased soon after my severe neurologic symptoms started l. I have bad muscle weakness and numbness in arms and eyesight problems. Its challenging for me to walk. Too much pressure I feel during walking or standing and sweat like a rain. My blood pressure was 14.9 over 9.8 today.

Fibromyalgia In PD And Some Potential Relief
Fibromyalgia (FM) is slightly more common in people with PD and FM can cause all over body pain that moves around and can affect tissues, joints and muscles. This group of people with PD and FM are more likely to get dementia and have worse symptoms. FM can cause painful flare-ups at random times, but

Does yeast infection diet really work, or it is a loss of time? (vaginal)
I am interested in personal experiences with this diet. I am kind of desperate. It's been almost 8 months of treatment and although there is an improvement with boric acid, it is not totally cured. I also use organic propolis, C vitamin, omega 3, cranberry supplements, probiotics, D vitamin. Has anyone

Alpha lipoic acid
I read recently that alpha lipoic acid may help with pain in the feet and hands, and help you handle glucose. Does anyone know if there are contra indications from breast cancer (and the drugs that treat it) to taking it? Thanks in advance.
