Thoughts on NDT’s and Metavive
Hello Am doing lots of research into treatment of hypothyroidism. Looking at diet and supplements to get maximum benefit from treatment. It would appear that levothyroxine is the main prescribed medicine. Has anyone used DTE’s or metavive alongside it or in addition to it?

levothyroxine and antibiotics?
I’m currently taking antibiotics for an infection after having blood test. Should I be taking Levothyroxine at a different time to antibiotics. Not sure if it will affect absorption of thyroxine?

does anyone know who i should be approaching to get the Levothyroxine blister packs improved . as many will know the pills are very tiny and the manufacturer has locked them up safely behind dispensing blister packs that are almost impossible to access without a struggle. I have approached my pharmacy

Mixing up the brands of Levo?
My Endo has increased my dose of Levo from 25 mcg to a mix of 25 / 50. I know it may be too low as T4 is currently only 20% through the range. I will have the debate about dosing again in a month when we have more data. The good news is that my Vits are now all optimal, so I should be making use of the

Update after GP call
Had my call with the GP that I mentioned in my last posts. That was a bit of a disaster, although not as bad as it could have been. She did not read my notes or blood test results before the call. She asked me about symptoms, but was only concerned about weight gain and dry skin. I had already gone

Success with GP - for now
Just had an appointment with my GP and after lots of persuasion and me quoting NICE guidelines at him, he's agreed to reinstate my previous daily 100mcg Levo. 🥳This does come with the condition of reassessing in 6-8 weeks after bloods done. (I'll cross that bridge when I get there) I got the usual

Inflammatory Arthritis with Levothyroxine
Has anyone else had severe pains in their tendons and muscles due to Levothyroxine? 18 years ago I had an ESR blood test at my G.P.'s surgery as I had severe pains on Levothyroxine, this proved I had Inflammatory Arthritis, so I bought Armour Thyroid from the US as the only alternative at that time.
