I'm scared I'm developing a serious problem + food because I can't lose weight, even when eating under 600cals for days. Why can't I lose?
If I eat any more then I feel so guilty and so full that I just have to get it out of me. I tried talking to my doctor about my inability to lose weight and she just told me to "chill". It is making me so depressed that I am not coping at all. I would take St Johns Wort but it says that interferes with

St Johns Wort. Take or not?
I'm considering taking SJW, I'm trying to avoid Citalopram. I'd be very interested on peoples thoughts on taking SJW? How have you found it? Does it work? Any side affects? Thanks

Hi everyone, I am a 22 year old woman living in Boston. I have had reynauds since I was about 12 or so. I always thought this condition was a little worrisome, but I never thought about it too much. At a very young age I also noticed spider angiomas appearing on my hands (about 4 or 5 of them have come

Should I insist on a referral to investigate sle?
Will try to cut this short. My son was born with what the health visitor described as "baby acne" (apparently common amongst boys). It became infected and needed antibiotic ointment. He was always sicky. Had a huge inflamed belly button which eventually went down. At 1yr old he developed a rash on one

A positive ANA
Hello - this is my first post here. I was diagnosed with Hughes Syndrome in April. The blood tests also indicated a positive ANA. My Consultant wanted me to be seen at St Thomas' for the Hughes but said the positive ANA "was nothing". St T's also found that I have Pernicious Anaemia so life long B12

Are my swollen, red, puffy eyes a symptom of autoimmune hepatitis?
Hi all. I was seen by a gastroenterologist in July following a 'hepatic episode' of deranged LFT's, mild jaundice and a significantly positive ANA. This episode had settled by the time i was seen but the consultant said she was almost certain that this was an indicator of autoimmune hepatitis. She did

Strange sensations
Does anyone else with Raynauds & Limited Systemic Sclerosis experience this? I can only describe it as a fizzy sensation in the large vein that runs from the thumb up the side of the wrist of my hand. The vein had become very prominent. I'm unable to take Nifedipine & waiting for a prescription for

My appointment at St Thomas'
Yesterday I went to St T's. They have taken a load of blood tests. I asked if the antibeta2glycoprotein was negative this time would I lose my APS diagnosis - it seems that that depends on my consultant up here. I think he goes along with one positive test means you have it - I hope - I would hate to

Newly diagnosed with Lupus and learning to spot the signs of a flare up
I was recently diagnosed through a positive ana result and still waiting to see a rheumatologist. I have had symptoms that started with extreme chronic fatigue, which initially GP put down to PBC(liver) and/or hypothyroidism, which I have both but he hadn't linked all the little things that had been

Does rosacea affect the scalp too?
I have had a red flush across my face for some time but it is a flat rash (was investigated for Lupus after a positive ANA but all other tests came back negative). Now though I have had angry red bumps (they have no head so not spots as such) come up on my face and head. They come up and then flatten
