Help Please: Blood test results for my Ma... speaking to a Dr tomorrow, Wednesday...many thanks for your help.
Hello Folks, My Ma takes levo. She was started on it at the beginning of this year, on the minimal dose. She is also now experiencing serious hair loss which is very upsetting to her, though nobody seems to be too bothered at the new surgery. Our surgery closed down in March. All our Dr's have disappeared

On bone marrow biopsy (BMB)?
Hello everyone, People with PV/ET regularly (e.g., per month) test their blood to keep track of cell counts and other things. How about bone marrow biopsy (BMB)? Are there repeats of BMB test to check changes after the first one that was performed to detect any mutation like JK2 ? If yes, how the results

Hurrah an appointment with rheumatologist, but I’ve got a fever
Hi all, Thanks so much to those who welcomed me here just over a week ago, I have taken all advice and info onboard and have managed to get a private referral appointment this weekend. I’m preparing all my symptoms notes. However, like most places during Covid they don’t want you to go in if you have

Hopefully silly questions

Feeling Discouraged
Well, I have always been one of the first to brag about Ocaliva. Not so sure now. Alk Phos has gone up a little my last two labs. It is 161. Fibroscan one year ago was 9. Now 12. Hard to believe it increased that much in one year when all was going good. Hep wants a biopsy so he can confirm fibroscan

Liver function tests
I had chest pains a few weeks ago, went to A&E and after 8 hours I was discharged, told to take it easy and see the cardiac nurse. I am now down for echocardiogram, reviewing my other arteries and existing stents (full metal jacket of 4 stents), possible angiogram, stress test, plus full review of meds

Prostar trial over
After 5 and 1/2 months, I have a new lesion on my rib . Not a big surprise since my psa and alk phos has been on the rise. Done zytiga and now Xtandi in the Prostar trial. The trial will not be going to phase 3. At least It helped me for almost half a year

What does ANA positive mean?
If you are ANA positive does it mean you have Lupus, or can it mean something else? New to the group and so glad I found you

Newly positive S.L.E. test
Hi all, just joined. I’ve had a number of symptoms of lupus over the years, but not the butterfly rash or joint swelling or pain. I recently had the ana test which came back positive and have been referred to a rheumatologist. There aren’t any appointments currently and with waiting lists I may not be

Test results, following up from a month ago
Hello. I posted on here a month ago asking for advice before an endo appointment. I was feeling very poorly - a lot of joint pain, brain fog, falling over, dizzy, ears ringing etc. Your advice was really helpful, thank you. I ended up having levothyroxine increased from 50 to 75mcg, liothyrinine

Help please
Hello, I need a small help. I've been struggling with a strange sensation in my left foot for about 2 months. It felt like there's a feather in between my toes. Went to doctor & got blood work done. It showed ferritin -16, Vit B12: 315, Folate: 7.9, Vit D: 35, TSH:0.85, ANA: positive 1:320 speckled.

Pbc? Or not?
Here’s my latest story: I was diagnosed with PBC in 2017 and put on urso immediately. I had the standard 2 out of 3 positives to make a diagnosis. Elevated alk phos, positive AMA2 but never biopsy. After 3 years of doing proper liver diet healthy living my new liver specialist retested my AMA2 and it

Got blood work results back today
My naturopath drew blood for my thyroid and ANA test last week. Got the results today and no surprise but thyroid's way out of wack. New prescriptions should help get me closer to where I need to be. BUT the surprise, to me anyway, is that my ANA is negative. I asked the doc then about my PMR since it

Granuloma Annulare? Mis diagnosed rash? Anyone else?
Hello, Hope you’re all well, managing symptoms and keeping safe. I was just wondering if anyone else had this experience... I’ve had all the symptoms of lupus the past 2 years, my bloods have shown inflammation, and a weakly positive Ana, then fluctuates, to normal and raised. Rhuemy said this ain’t
