Endometrial cancer despite regular periods
I would like others to be more aware of the risk of endometrial cancer for women with PCOS - I am 37 and I have just been diagnosed with this disease (endometrial adenocarcinoma Grade 1) - an endometrial polyp proved to be cancerous after removal (through hysteroscopy). Fortunately the cancer is at an

Xarelto or also known as rivaroxaban
Good morning, at the advice of the cardiologist my father started this new medication to replace the warfarin. His INR is now 1.51 instead of 2.5 that used to be with warfarin. The doctor advised that the range with rivaroxaban is different to the warfarin and 1.51 is the perfect norm. Does anyone have

Should I not be lifting
I decided to rejoin my gym and work at getting this prednisone weight off. 30 pounds to be exact is what I gained. I’m sure some or most is from food cravings. Do I have to be cool can concerned with weight training again? I’m supposed to be at the beginning stages of pbc and aih

Alk-phos climbing up... 😔
Hello all, Well, got my labs back. Everything is in normal range except my AMA M2 and my alk-phos. It's elevated yet again. Slowly over the past few months it's been climbing. It was 162 three weeks ago and it's 174 today. I'm taking the mid range level of my URSO for my weight but I'm still within

Generic URSO & Effectiveness
This is a repost from a PBC patient on the Yahoo forum. It got me thinking about different brands of URSO and their effectiveness. I'm interested in any feedback because I've been on a "generic" URSO for 8 months with no change. My alk-phos fluctuates but has never normalized. Thanks, Stella I was

Back spasm
Hi. I had another spasm in my back this morning. It's agony. I have AS. So far today have taken etoricoxib, omeprazole, co-codamol, and diazepam. Using a wheat heat pack too. Does anyone have any other first aid ideas on how to reduce the pain? Can't believe I'm back here again, just when I felt

Confused
Can somebody orient me. I was diagnosing with pbc three months ago and started on Urso with a great response. Then two weeks ago I visited my hepatoligist and she said I had overlap syndrome which I was proscribed prednisone and azathioprina. So yesterday I took my labs and they came back a little higher

Adrenalin rushes in?
I've had a few weeks where I the daily flushing/nausea/shaking episodes had eased off. But this week, they seemed to be returning. This afternoon, I had a dramatic demonstration that they must surely be related to adrenal dysfunction. The morning had been ordinary, with me simply pacing myself through

Polymyalgia/Schnitzler Syndrome
2 years ago diagnosis was PMR. A year later I have this rash and find I have Schnitzler Syndrome. Added image just in case anyone else expieriences it. Or I have both. I am beginning to think both for an injection I get monthly, Canakinumab should take care of my range of motion and muscle issues

Trametinab Diaries
Some of you may remember I posted a few weeks ago that I was on a break from the trial drug trametinab for recurrent low grade serous ovarian cancer. I had been taken off the trial because my echocardiogram had revealed that my ejection fraction had dropped from 60% to about 50%. I was off the trial

Please help reading U.S. results for a friend
Hello all, I would like some help reading a friend’s TSH as she’s taking 0.112g of Tirosint and 5mcg Cytomel. I think she’s being ripped off by paying $700 a month. She was diagnosed 10 years ago. She thinks her supplements are perfect as she’s been prescribed by a doctor but she mentioned ‘multi vitamins

Heart issues
Can anyone tell me if they have heart issues related to underactive thyroid? I was undiagnosed for around 15 years. After being treated, not effectively for 8 years I now appear to have been diagnosed with aortic stenosis. Anyone have similar issues?

I tried Ashwagandha and 3 mg time release melatonin taking Ashwagandha 400 mg at 8 pm (I take Azilect 1 mg 8 am) and melatonin at 10 pm. Instead of sleeping through TV I felt social and talkative not a bit anxious and sleep was restful and restorative. But next day found that after taking 5 mg Isradapine

Myo-inositol and folic acid
I had my consultation with a gynaecologist on Friday and he said that some of the tests were "suggestive" of PCOS that were just on the border, like, 3.97 instead of 4, and then some were normal, and that based on that he couldn't diagnose PCOS but agreed that I show all the symptoms and advised me to
