Cr10 picture the scene...
Scene opens: Jericho opens his eyes and looks at the clock, it's 6am. It's pitch black and his bed is warm and inviting. The sound of rain lashing on the windows and wild winds shaking the house serve to confirm his gut feeling... A wry smile spreads across his face... No running today he thinks to

Head/neck injury then PD.
First of all, I am just a newly dx (2 years) guy trying to live the best life possible. It’s fairly common to have a head or neck injury shortly before being DX with PD. Looking back, my symptoms started shortly after a head injury that damaged my neck. I was begged by a friend of mine to see this guy

IBS after Food Poisoning
2 weeks ago I ended up getting food poisoning from what I believe was reheated chicken (it was a Deliveroo order from a place that I've eaten food from before). I'm feeling a lot better now and am back at work but I noticed that my IBS has changed somewhat since I was ill in that it's reset my bowel

After all that emotional rollercoaster (with food poisoning on 6dp5dt), I’ve continued getting two lines and my clear blue digital says I’m 2-3 weeks pregnant! Can this be real? It’s still early days but fingers crossed 🤞I have attached a picture of how my lines progressed - there were definitely days

Being Vent Dependent
Yesterday night, I finally received a call from my mom's doctor at the rehab hospital she is currently in. I asked him a series of questions, one of them being why her vent setting had not changed much since she was admitted and that to me it seemed like her fio2 levels seemed to be going up instead

Nerve pain in scalp
Hi, I had a fall and hit my head 18 months ago and was diagnosed with post concussion syndrome. I had nerve sensitivity at the site of the injury, top left of my head, for a while but thought it was finally settled. Now, all of a sudden I'm getting burning and occasional throbbing where I hit my head

Tough but done
W9R3, graduation run done but not easy. After two runs earlier in the week under my belt I was feeling confident on Thursday night, come Friday morning run time I felt anything but, I was very tired before I had taken a step, however the combination of achieving graduation mixed with general stubbornness

Dicloflex 75 mg SR Prolonged-release Tablets
Hi everyone, I have been put on Dicloflex 75 mg SR Prolonged-release Tablets as the Naproxen is now making my tinnitus unbearable, I get about 4-5 hours sleep a night. Has anyone used this NSAID with good results?

Falling asleep
Hello! Just a question about napping really. Up until last week, our now 4 month 1week old Bubba needed to be rocked to sleep for naps as he would cry from tiredness. However, miraculously he fell asleep on his bouncy chair where ordinarily he would cry in it when tired. I took this as a cue and put

Nature Throid from international online pharmacy
I have moved to France from 4 years in Croatia. My new doctor informs me it is illegal to give me prescription for my desiccated thyroid medication, Nature-throid. I've searched online for international pharmacies, but evidently NT has been taken off the market in many countries. I may have to fly

Fodmap and dietician positive results so far
I have not posted for a while. I have IBS- C and got to a desperate stage in the summer where I was not coping. I have had 3 months of support from a dietician on line who is an IBS specialist. (I used my holiday money to pay). It has so far been a game-changer. I am off laxatives. I take an expensive

CR6 I just kept on running
It had been a few days since my last run, the knee was playing on my mind. Slept in and missed my usual morning spot before everybody else gets up, so had to trudge to the park in my full running gear in broad daylight, hundreds of cars etc.. Stuff that would have made me not go a few months back! Once

16 weeks - teething?
Hi, I'm new to this so hope I'm posting this right! My little boy will be 16 weeks old tomorrow. For the past few weeks he's been really chewing his hands and dribbling - we thought maybe it was the start of a long teething process, or maybe just normal baby development. Today when I was changing

Armour vs NP Thyroid
I moved over from levothyroxine & liothyronine to Armour around 15 years ago but then there were supply issues followed by increasing cost so I switched to Nature-Throid which has now been recalled. I do not have enough Nature-Throid left to last into the new year. I was planning to borrow some money

Post concussion treatment guidelines.
Found this article for treatment of post concussion syndrome (it would apply to mild to moderate stroke victims and other forms of BI too). It says the methods used currently (health service) are useless. The model highlighted is the typical American one which takes into account neck injuries, vestibular

Consolidation run no 5
So I decided to go out this morning and try to run the full 5km after getting 4km+ under my belt. What a lovely morning. Frost of the cars 🚗 and coldest morning yet for me but great to see the sun 🌞 shine. I had to negotiate the children going to school, dog 🐶 walkers and lots of traffic on the

Canthoplasty ruined my face?
I had a canthoplasty with a mid face lift and eyebrow lift to support it 11 days ago. The results are horrible, to say the least. I know it’s still early days and I’m trying to be patient in the hope the everything starts looking more and more natural over the next month or two. Right now, I have a

I never knew how to make friends
Friendships have enormous benefits for quality of life and health, and although I felt quite comfortable with my current situation - don't really have anyone to spend my birthday with, but I have an excuse - I moved abroad alone, started a new life, my coworkers all have families, so no strong ties there
