I would love to see a Clinical Trial on TTFD
I gave up on TTFD (thiamine tetrahydrofurfuryl disulfide - a B1 derivative) because; I would settle in on a sweet-spot, within a few weeks I would overdose, I lowered my dose and repeated again & again. Thinking maybe that wouldn’t be a bad thing — could it be a cure and would I get down to just recommended

Finally!
Back in July I had a response to a FOI, which I challenged. I sent out numerous emails to different NHS governing bodies. I met a brick wall. Today an email turned up out of the blue from my Health Board. It only took them five months. The complaint was that the blood testing for thyroid did not

Hormones and Aging: An Endocrine Society Scientific Statement" was presented at ENDO 2023
I haven't read it yet, but thought this looks interesting. A Medscape article titled 'A 'One-Stop Shop': New Guidance on Hormones and Aging' stated: 'A new statement from The Endocrine Society on hormones and aging highlights the differences between normal aging and disease, and when treatment is

My Current Stack (What is in Yours?)
Fabnusasked me what my current stack was so I am sharing it here. Please remember I have not been diagnosed with PD. I have RBD and some other symptoms.
Also remember I have a HS degree, poor impulse control, and I am prone to bad decisions. Please do your own research.

Drug fails in Phase II trial for treating Parkinson's Disease - Exenatide (Byetta, Bydureon)
Evidence suggest that microglia are relevant to Parkinson's disease pathogenesis, therefore the recent clinical trial warranted exploration of trying to attenuate pathogenic microglial function. They sought to test the safety and efficacy of NLY01—a brain penetrant, pegylated, longer-lasting version

Quick recap for those that haven't followed my previous posts. Diagnosed September 2022 with primary MF, no previous signs or symptoms before catching Covid in June 2022 and health deteriorating until GP visit at end of August 2022. After some RBC transfusions, blood tests and BMP I enrolled on FEDORA

Prednislone and Anxiety
I've been reducing from 20mg pred since November 2022, currently on 11mg. Since Christmas I have had episodes of extreme anxiety, depression, mood swings and tearfulness. My Rheumy this morning suggested swapping to Betamethasone which does not cross the blood/brain barrier. However, when I researched

hu CAR-T 19 IL-18 4th Generation Clinical Trial 90 Day Check-up With All of My Favorite Tests
It's been a long time since I have received a MRD negative diagnosis, 13 years to be exact, after my FCR treatment. All of the other treatments didn't require a BMB to confirm a negative reading, I had a few remissions, but they were just on paper. My blood counts were good, and I felt fine, but a relapse

Wait or start docetaxel?
Currently taking Nubeqa and Orgovyx but PSA doubling time is only 7 weeks and PSMA scan shows activity in abdominal lymph nodes, 2 vertebrae and 2 ribs. MO suggested DORA Clinical trial (everyone gets docetaxel, half get radium) but the head of a trial I was previously in at NIH feels that unless a CT

Do I really hate my degree or is it just mental health?
Hi all. For some background: anxiety and depression diagnosis and suspected Bipolar Type 2. Currently not medicated while getting access to mood stabilisers. I used to be an active student (STEM major) with excellent grades, but the past few months I can see a steady decline in my performance and generally
