underactive thyroid
hi there I’ve had an under active thyroid for 8 years and recently gained weight and losing iron. My doctor has said my neck thyroid reading is ok but my “brain reading is slower” Does this make sense to anyone? Also, how do people take iron and vitamin d as I have read not to take it near medication

Gluten: Links Between Celiac Disease and Multiple Sclerosis
Interesting read. It's harder and harder to ignore diet as part of the MS path. But there are still so many unanswered questions. The bottom line, eat healthy, and exercise... this will always bend your long-term health outcome towards more positives... https://www.verywellhealth.com/celiac-disease-and-multiple-sclerosis

Covid
It was my understanding that if you had an underlying health condition like Lupus you could be prescribed anti viral medication if you tested positive with COVID. I contacted my doctor today and he said lupus wasn’t on the list of serious underlying health conditions and that GPs don’t prescribe the

Seeking a good travel insurance company for rheumatoid arthritis
Just wondered if anyone has any advise on travel companies they have used that covers rheumatoid arthritis. Also I noticed that for Corona virus cover you have to be up to date with COVID vaccines and unfortunately I missed the spring booster so any advise for cover would be gratefully received. Many

Omentin-1 Levels in Hypothyroid Patients with Autoimmune Thyroiditis
The number of things related to thyroid function just keeps growing. I have no criticism of the authors - who are simply reporting what they saw. But if Omentin-1 is relevant, then let us see more research! No - I have zero understanding of Omentin-1 - none at all! This is just a search - which found

Elimination of symptoms through change of diet (such as AIP) - has anyone tried it?
I have been speaking with the sister of a friend recently, who is battling various
autoimmune
diseases
for 16 years now (hashimoto, RA and recently also diagnosed with systemic sclerosis and polymyositis), who has told me about this.

I have generalised osteoarthritis and a family rich in
autoimmune
diseases

MrJustatip's diagnosis - FINALLY.
Hello all. Wednesday, 8/2/23 and after 1.5 years and countless doctors, I have finally been officially diagnosed with Pernicious Anemia due to Intrinsic factor blocking antibodies (from the IF test). The doctor (hematologist) exclaimed that he would be shocked if my IF test came back as positive because

Had blood test yesterday and GP appointment for Tuesday to discuss but wonder if anyone can understand these results TSH 0.02 (0.27-4.2) FT4 33 (11.1-22) [edited, in original I had 3.3 which is why I was confused] FT3 10.7 (3.1-6.8) This is all new to me and trying to get my head round it. Different
Hello, I have different types of arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and arthritis in the rest of my joints, ankles, hands and such. I also have crepitus in my right shoulder due to an accident which has also damaged my back. Yes, I know, need a new body but until medical science catches
