Don't know what to do next
Hello all. I'm new on here. My first post gave the background. I'm finally off amitriptyline that I trialed for prevention of migrains. Doctors now want to put me on a prozac like drug instead? ? Used off licence for same thing. I'm not keen because of my experience on amitriptyline and getting. off

Partial or full Fallopian tube removal? Advise please! X
Dear all, I am so sorry to keep banging on about this, but I need some further reassurance as I am getting conflicting advice about the removal of my hydrosalpinx, and my operation is on 15th April! Below is the advice from two different fertility doctors: Option 1: Remove the entire Fallopian tube

Day 21 of no smoking.......
Well I've made it to day 21, 3 weeks of no smoking and still doing great. Loving the Champix and the weird dreams, no cravings, no cough, a little less energy than last week but so far so good. Hubby still smoking but I don't notice it. He's definitely cut down. Bit concerned I won't want to come off

Initial appointment with neurologist
Hi everyone I'm new here seeking your thoughts. Referred to neurologist but within 5 mins said I don't think you have PD! He looked at my hands to check out tremor. Tremor is an intermittent mild symptom for me however I had a mild RT sided tremor so he asked me to hold my arms out Infront then stated

i have a hard time wrapping my head around certain family members who say they love me, but i don’t feel loved by them (in all aspects). they have no problem providing me with financial support (so i feel the love there) but in the emotional department, they are missing in action. when i’m “like myself

4yo disimpacted or not?
Hi, This is my first post & I'm hoping for any advice or suggestions. My daughter was potty trained at age 3 (shes now 4) & everything was going great until last June when she started suffering with constipation. We used lactulose to control it until early December when she went a week without going

Post concussion syndrome- increase in symptoms caused by specific movement (bending up and down/ lifting items/being unbalenced)
Hi, I’ve been recovering from post concussion syndrome over the past year. As I improve, I’m finding that bending up and down (especially if I am carrying/ picking up a weight or reaching out and putting my body off balance) will bring on an instant unpleasant feeling in my head (kind of like a pressure

NHS no hope service. It’s very worrisome when you know your I’ll but no one wants to help you , instead just fobbin you off like your a fool
This has sadly been my experience of the nhs for the past 4 years , and hey the nhs has won. They don’t need to diagnose me anymore , no need to treat whatever it is, nothing, they have achieved their goal in my case. Because I have given up on them , and what will be will be . Weeeeeeeee. Anybody else

Subcut buserelin
Hi all I'm really panicking. Did my 3rd injection of buserelin tonight and forgot to pinch the skin before injecting and now I'm really worried that it didnt go subcutaneously and that this may affect the absorption. I'm not sure what I did yesterday, although i know i definitely did it day 1. Does

Opportunities unlimited from the gift of running.
As a novice trotter I am making my comeback from 15 sessions per week of daily strength and cardio sessions. Of course overuse must have played some part in my ankle injury and followed by a stiff hip through resulting inactivity. I am repeating C25k tried and tested adaption programme with 4 first

Did anyone suffer from Anisocoria as a result of their brain injury?
I was assaulted and robbed at the end of December, which resulted in a subarachnoid heamoraage. About 6 weeks after the initial injury I had a really bad day, couldn't focus at all, really dizzy and extreme nausea. I looked in the mirror and one of my pupils was dilated quite a bit more than the other

Speed vs shuffle-jog
Now, I DO understand the importance of going slowly which were the very wise words of advice I got when I did W1 R1 and ended up with a tomato face... because although I didn't realise it, I was going too fast. So now with W5 R3 under my belt, and my breathing completely under control (to my great suprise

Your multivitamins and brain-boosting pills may be suspect, and regulators are cracking down on the $40 billion industry
Vitamins are supposed to be good for you. But if recent research is any indication, the pricey pills and powders may offer more of a health risk than a nutritional boost. The FDA aims to quickly alert the public to avoid buying products that may contain supplements with unlawful or potentially dangerous

Spring once more
A pale blue sky , showers , wind and yet the signs of spring are all around in Devon. The banks are awash with snow drops , wild daffodils toss and sway in the wind and yet remain defiant against the elements . Since my wife died everything has changed yet nothing has changed . Is that a paradox

Almost gave up this morning. I hadn't run for a week was away in Reykjavik and with the best will in the world I couldn't see myself running through the snow and ice. Came back at the weekend and went on my run - wk8r2 0630am this morning. My back was in absolute spasm I could barley move at all. I should

How to sleep like a Premier League footballer
Well when I saw this heading on the BBC website, I thought great! I have always wanted to drift off fuelled by champagne with a Eastern European super model either side of me ....... However, the article was far more interesting than anything that may appear in a tabloid paper and was very informative

my son is 9 and is still having trouble wetting the bed we've tried not drinking things at night and going pee before we go to bed and he still continues to wake up having a sense and he gets very upset and cries because he doesn't understand why this is happening he truly just wakes up while he's already
