A Wish Fulfilled, and a Legacy
This endeavor, called “Project Renewal,” recently updated the dosage label for the
oral
chemotherapy
drug capecitabine (Xeloda) to make it more tolerable, and there will likely be more to come!

End of IBrance …
With radiation now on the schedule my ONC has stopped the IBrance and anastrozole for the duration and is offering me a choice of two treatments: Piqray and fulvestrant injections (I do have the mutation for this targeted treatment) or xeloda (which is a broader

Docetaxal chemotherapy
I have had prostate cancer since 2017. First I had radiation and then Lupron for three years. When my PSA started to rise I took abiraterone and Lupron for 3 more years and was undetectable. It started to rise again to 1.78. Then I was put on Xtandi but after a week I developed a full body rash. When

Secondary surgery
Hello I just had my CT scan and it shows some disease progression in the liver area where a small bit of tumour couldn’t be removed at initial surgery. My bloods are good and I’m really well. I’ve got a plan for Chemo. I’ve been reading about secondary surgery and chemo at first recurrence. Has anyone

Anyone find cold plunge or sauna helpful?
I'm six weeks in on ADT. Working to stay ahead of fatigue with resistance training and weighted vest walking as I gear up for radiation and chemo in the next few months. Anyone done any cold plunge or sauna to help battle side effects or get better sleep? What was your experience?

Terratoma with a neuroendocrine tumour stage 1 3c, anybody
I think I might be clutching at straws here, anybody have anything similar. Apparently it's rare as hens teeth.I had a 5 kilo terratoma removed, it was on my left ovary. Also my appendix, left ovary and omentum along with 7 litres of fluid. No chemo as they were happy with everything. This all happened

Provenge immunotherapy
After 5.5 years on Lupron (no Zytiga, Xtandi, Daro, etc.), my PSA hit its highest points ever (1.92), although I'm still not 2 points above my lowest reading of 0.5 (only one of those). I'm metastatic and was at diagnosis, so still have prostate. I've been researching Provenge a bit, and understand that

Borderline TSH during cancer treatment
Hi folks! Haven't been on here for some time but in the interim I have been treated for Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia. Had chemo in September last year which was successful (minus a few hiccups like fungal pneumonia that put me in ICU!) and currently on home oral chemo, antifungals and antibiotics daily

It’s Been A While
Sorry I am unloading here because some of you guys will understand. I was diagnosed 19 years ago at age 45. I was single then. Life was okay for a while. Then lupron kicked in. I have had no libido for 18.5 years. I’m an only child, Mom passed 23 years ago and I lost Dad 2 years ago. One month after
