Confused
Hi, 2 1/2 years ago I was diagnosed by a rheumatologist with RA. All the different medications that I’ve been on haven’t helped at all. So I went back to Mayo Clinic this last month & that rheumatologist told me that he didn’t see any RA. That I had significant osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, sicca disease

Aortic stenosis/Giant Cell Arteritis
I was diagnosed with GCA/PMR December 2017. I have now been told I have Aortic Stenosis and am waiting more investigations. I googled the problem and it says on NHS page that GCA is linked to the heart problem. I have to take calcium for my bones as I am on steroids and a buildup of calcium in the

Pain Relief on anticoagulants (Edoxaban
Am I right in assuming I cannot take anti inflammatory medications for pain while taking Edoxaban. I suffer from osteoarthritis in a lot of joints. Now my hip has started. As an avid bowler with a competition soon I really need to work through the pain. Any suggestions please.

Volunteers wanted in S.West for University of Bath study designing an app. that monitors RA disease progress
I'm a participant is this scheme and it's a great project. They're designing an app that uses digital tech (smart phone) to monitor disease activity in a way that will hopefully lead to quicker, more effective medical intervention when it's needed. You just need to be able to get to Bath for a first

#PancakeDay with RA
We took to the local High Street and asked the public to flip pancakes! The challenge was to flip a pancake, firstly as they would normally, and then with our RA glove which simulates what it is like to have Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) so that they could see the difference. Every single person said

Shoulder and neck pain
Hi all, haven't been on here for a while. Hope all are well and not too much pain. Have been in remission for a couple of years now so in December it was decided by my rheumatologist to stop my methotrexate as I had been reducing it anyway, neck and shoulder pain has started again which is what I had

Oldies,
I have just turned 70. Have always exercised and kept an eye on my weight. I swim three times a week and also do pilates. My question is twofold. 1 Am I too old to start running the couch to 5K programme. I used to be a regular runner until about five years ago. 2 Is the programme suitable for someone

Tramadol Side Effects
Hi all - I've been taking Tramadol once a day at night (2x50mg) for the last three or so months for arthritis and find I am frequently nodding off in the daytime even, to my horror, at work. Is this a side effect and is there any way I can avoid this while still getting the pain relief from the medication
