Eliquis vs. NSAIDs
Ive had AF for many years and am considered “chronic”. I also have arthritis sporting bilateral knee replacements 12 years ago and a hip replacement. I take hydrocodone for pain. I take Eliquis for my anticoagulant and have been advised never to take an NSAID (ibuprofen, aspirin, etc.), which is what

I just received a communication from a good friend of mine who is in persistent AF and is also over 70 and has recovered from COVID-19. She started daily meditation practice (TM) about a year ago and has recently added in the HearthMath practice for calming HR and has just sent me an ECG showing that

In 2015 I lost a baby at 5mths pregant (after 3 sussesful pregnancies) I was advised by my local nhs hospital it would be ‘ one of those things’ so I sought private testing. Apixaban with provoked DVT
Hi everyone, hope you’re all safe and healthy in these crazy times. I am looking for other people’s experience with provoked DVT and if finishing taking blood thinners after 3 months caused any issues. I was given 3 months of Apixaban (another 2 weeks to go) and the haematologist said during my appointment

I had my Ablation
After some hesitation I had my Ablation done on Thursday 4-23...I was very fortunate to have it done at one of best places in the US. I am not sure if it is appropriate to post the Doctors name here but I am confident in his ability. I have felt great ever since, no real discomfort, an occasional population

Post-Tavr - ok to eat garlic and drink garlic tea?
Hello, My father is about one year post-Tavr. We've heard that fresh garlic is anti-bacterial and anti-viral and were thinking it might be good to be eating a fresh garlic clove to strengthen immunity against covid. As garlic is supposedly a blood thinner or something like that, would it be safe for

Is xarelto better or worse then eliquis?
I was given xarelto for a dvt but I’m wondering what is the better blood thinner to take xarelto or eliquis? My doctor said I could take either. Has anyone had bad experiences with either? I’m scared to take it but I know I have to.

Self-injection and anticoagulants
I was prescribed 9 loading doses over 1 month and 6 x 1 monthly injections, so I know that it’s OK to receive injections as frequently as this on
anticoagulants
. Just wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation?

The Haemothromb Test®
I am a UK citizen living in Hungary with two ablations under my belt (6 years apart). I currently take Pradaxa as the anticoagulant but am considering returning to warfarin. I was researching INR self testing machines when I came across this INR test - The Haemothromb Test®. I will investigate it further

COVID-19 & Abnormal Coagulation.
Recent papers below. As some will know, I am very interested in PCa-related coagulation. I believe that control of microclots may prevent metastasis (& further mets in those who have some.) Clot control can also prevent DVTs & fatal pulmonary embolisms. The D-dimer test is very useful when a clot is
