Bench mark blood tests before switching to NDT
I would welcome any comments or advice on these results and on the process of switching from levothyroxine to NDT. Thank you! Hypothyroidism I have been taking levothyroxin 100 mg for over 30 years since my early 40s. (This is my only medication. Otherwise I keep healthy with yoga, regular exercise

Increasing Levo but not feeling great
hellooooo I've been having some trouble with increasing my levothyroxine lately and wondered if you could help please? I've been taking levothyroxine for about 4 years roughly and it's very slowly been increasing (as expected). I started on 25, then 50, then I was on 75 for about two and a half

Hi all, So I've been diagnosed with Hashimotos for 30 years. It took me 20+ years on Synthroid and feeling crappy to educate myself as to why. Well I learned of T3 and it was added bout 11 years ago. Last year on a visit my bp was elevated, I went to a cardio and had all tests . All was fine but

Just starting on levo at 50.....can you advise me please?
Good morning, further to my previous "excited" post at being medicated! Can you please advise me as to whether I should start off at 25 for 4-6 weeks (see how I go) before taking the 50? I've never taken this before & having read all the posts here it is very clear that "small & slow" is the way forward

Hashimoto’s (UK)
I am based in the UK. I have Hashimoto’s disease and take both T3 and T4. would someone please be kind enough to decipher my recent bloods? The results have caused my GP to interfere and reduce my T4 because my TSH isn’t registering. I am EXHAUSTED of having the same argument with them explaining

Update on Labs - What is Going On? :-)
Labs done ~7AM - 24 hours after T4 and 12 hours after T3, having stopped biotin 4 days prior. My endo has been good about letting me have needed T3 after being deficient for over a decade with other doctors. I am not sure what to make of the labs since she upped my T3 back in December. I started dosage

Endo appointment and low TSH
Hi all, Please see my results below. My GP is making noise about my suppressed TSH but she's leaving it to my endo, who I have an appointment with on 18th June. They don't know that I take liothyronine as well as levo. I'm not sure whether to fess up or not just as a way to explain the suppressed TSH

am I hypothyroid now?
Help please! I have posted these on facebook group for Graves and a few people came back saying that I’m severely hypothyroid and I should change my endo as this should have never got that low. (BTW I’m seeing a recommended Endo 🤦🏻♀️) what are your views? 17 April (I was then on 20mg Carbimazole

hashimoto thyroid and T3
I have recently been told by Endocrinologist to stop T3 due to palpitations and atrial fibrillation, to increase T4 to 75mcg. This had been reduced by hospital where I went after collapsing with atrial fibrillation. He says rely on that and lifestyle changes. I feel I have been doing that for the last

Fine tuning dose.
Hi all, I've been feeling a bit 'meh' recently and after a recent blood test I'm wondering if I'm slightly overmedicated. Could also be HRT needs to settle. I can't decide so thought I'd ask the hive mind. :) 4th Nov - started HRT; 200mcg progesterone & 50mcg oestrogen. 26th Feb: 200

Endo finally tested FT3! Thoughts?
At my last endo appt early Dec, the consultant kept his same stance that my blood tests were all in range and my symptoms were all due to perimenopause. He said there was slight room for a small increase in levothyroxine so ive gone from 125x5/100x2 to 125x6 /100x1 and told me to speak to my gp and

2nd endo appt PTU anxiety
hi, I was put on ptu about 6 weeks ago after my first hospital endo apt. 50mg twice a day. I’ve just been for thyroid bloods T4 (whenever I ask for my thyroid blood forms from my gp receptionist I get given different aspects it’s never the full range). So originally it was 34 (normal being 12-22) then

Thyroid antibodies
Hello everyone, Just asking for some advice or thoughts as I have the thyroid antibodies but ‘normal thyroid’. The thyroid antibodies were found when my first private endo ran tests for my hypoPARA. I have been confused about what they are going to do about it as all they have said it ‘your thyroid

Hiya, Got my blood results from MMH (below). Test done approx 8am, 24 hours after last levo dose, fasting, no biotin. Six weeks ago the GP increased my dose to 100mcg, but I have been taking 87.5mcg (took 100mcg on a couple of odd days just to see how it felt) because I wanted to go slowly with

Blood test
Gp refuses to prescribe T3 as previously prescribe my old gp and refuses to increase T4 as apparently my thyroid result is normal ( I don't have one ) no mention of the T3 10 mcg plus T4 75mcg what's the point of this ? Apparently this abundant in detail result shows I don't need an increase in T4

Hypothyroidism help!
hello, I have not long found out I have hypothyroidism. T4 4.1 T3 1.5 TSH 87.1 along with Hashimotos and Vit D deficient. I’ve started on medication (50mg) and I feel so ill. Thyroid Education Day, Birmingham (Edgbaston), January 26th
https://www.thyroideducationday.com This is the first event of this kind. Is someone here from Thyroid U.K. or anyone else who is a member of this group attending? Seems vital a) to have someone to put our case there and b) to have a record of discussions and developments, for current and future
