Having an op and NHS freaking out about suppressed TSH
I am having a very minor op under general anaesthetic and NHS have revealed suppressed TSH (0.024). They are basically refusing to operate until I get a Dr to say this is ok in the presence of normal T3 (5.2) and T4 (14.8). The problem is I self medicate with levothyroxine (50mcg daily) and one grain

PSA rising - When to get a PSMA PET scan?
I'm curious what doctors and researchers are saying about when to do a PSMA PET scan in response to recurrent measurable PSA after
ADT
. I had an RP in 2015. That gave me 8 months of undetectable PSA.

T3 / NDT
Hi - I'm 39 and have had hashimotos / under active thyroid for 10+ years. I have suffered from 3 miscarriages recently + had 2 poor quality / outcome IVF egg retrievals. I'm on 100mg of levothyroxine, TSH is in range (around 2) but T3 is really at the bottom of the range. I don't think I'm converting

Anyone out there in south Essex recently had NDT removed by their endocrinologist
I'd like to contact anyone else in the same area and situation as myself as I have recently had my NHS Armour prescription removedly a new endocrinologist. Please pm me if you're in this boat. I need T3 and it seems I may get Levo + Lio - anyone taking this instead of NDT with success? I am so scared

Gleason Score 5+5
My gleason score is 5+5 =10. I watched Dr.Scholtz's talk who mentioned 5+5 case is rare and I happened to be one of them. My problems are like a full truck and wonder if that is the reason why my PSA remains above 7 after RP. Cancerous cell seems have spread to lymphnodes as i heard it prodcues PSA

He got the first shot, everything seemed ok, got the second shot and BP dropped like a rock. Could not wake him up. They called 911 took him to the hospital. He is home and doing OK

NDT, Stress, Heart Palps - Now What?
Hi All, I switched to NDT from levo around a month ago. I started to feel better on NDT right away and my TSH dropped from 3.1 to 0.7 within just 2 weeks. My Ts were still balancing - T4 was right at the bottom and T3 was only 24% through the range. I supplement with all the key nutrients and keep

Do lower glucose levels slow the prostate cancer growth? 70-85 level better than 90-100 level? Continuous Glucose Monitor usage?
Some of the meds we take, raise the blood glucose, such as statins and possibly the
ADT
meds as well. Does anyone use the continuous glucose monitor to learn what food to eat and not eat, and when to eat them, and in what portion size etc? If so, what are your recommendations?

Recurrence after 2.5 year break from ADT
This is a quick note to thank all of the members here who have shared their experiences and knowledge. After a 2.5 year break from Casodex and Lupron, my husband's PSA started increasing in August 2022. It's still low but is now at 2.9. His oncologist ordered several scans including a PSMA. As results

Osteoporosis and HRT
I was diagnosed 3 years ago with osteopenia which has now progressed to osteoporosis, though frankly my recent DEXA report is so unclear that I'm waiting for word from my doctor to interpret it. My question is about hormone replacement and osteoporosis. I've been listening to podcasts with Dr. Felice

cardio and cramp
My husband 51, with aPC is on Daralutomide and
ADT
and just finished 6 cycles of docetaxel, is keen to ramp up his cardio and weight training. The problem is whenever he tries to run or play tennis or even go on cross trainer he gets a cramp in his calf and can’t carry on.

Testosterone & RLS
I was aware of mild RLS from about age 10 nearly 62 years ago. Occasionally, I could control it by autosuggestion. Dramatically, this RLS stopped when I had reached puberty, 3 years later. It emerged 62 years later, immediately radiotherapy and hormone therapy for prostrate cancer commenced in 2012
